Kurt wasn't stupid to kill himself. He died for what he believed in!

>>By quoth the raven   (Tuesday, 3 Feb 2004 11:46)

wut did he believe in that he died for?

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Tuesday, 3 Feb 2004 20:23)

Hey people, Kurt didn't kill himself. I saw a thing about it on unsolved mysteries. It convinced me someone else killed him. My theory is Courtney or someone hired by Courtney did it!!

>>By SoulSlave   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 04:03)

I think I saw that too. They interviewed that big, fat beardy guy & he claims he did it. I forget the guy's name...lets just call him Porker!

>>By BEN HOLLYWOOD   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 04:19)

I don't remember his name either but there was a lot of evidence showing that Kurt was murdered. Like the entire "note" sounds like him telling his fans that he's going to stop making albums and he's sorry but he wants to leave the music business because, yeah, he was unhappy in the music business. The only thing that indicated suicide was the last few lines and a handwriting expert concluded it wasn't the same writing as the rest of the letter. Also, as stated before, there was just way too much heroine in his body for him to even be conscious, let alone kill himself. There was a lot more on the episode, but I'd have to think about it for a while to remeber the rest. It just doesn't add up.

>>By SoulSlave   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 04:45)

It doesn't make sense but theres probably no way of proving it. The circumstances of his death will be questioned over & over but the truth is that the conclusion would still be suicide. Its the most logical explanation for his death. Whether its true or not is another matter.

>>By BEN HOLLYWOOD   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 05:06)

you're right ben, but it sucks. Kurt's dead and nothing will change that. O well, people can have their opinions and i'll have mine. I'll always be a nirvana fan and may Kurt r.i.p, Dave continue to be a great musician, and let krist be happy wherever he may be....(anyone know where he is?)

>>By SoulSlave   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 05:26)

I'll always be a Nirvana fan too, although my favourite song they recorded is 'The Man Who Sold The World' (obviously not written by them), its almost as if that song was written for them. Kurt fit that song like a glove. Good question by the way. Where is he now? Anyone?

>>By BEN HOLLYWOOD   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 05:36)

you're right, that is a a very good song performed by them, but my favorite is Lake of Fire, but that too was a cover of a previous song too(so i'm told anyway, i haven't heard the previous version) However, don't get me wrong, the stuff they wrote themselves is very good too.

>>By SoulSlave   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 06:49)

ok, i did a little looking up, but i know what krist is up to, music wise anyway. After Nrivana, Krist formed a band called Sweet 75 (he was guitar) with a venezuelan woman named Yva (vocals/bass) and a guy named Adam (drums). He stayed there until 2000 as the guitarist. I'm not sure why they split, but at the end of 2001, Krist joined a band called Eyes Adrift and they released an album in 2002. Krist is the bass and vocals, Curt is vocals and guitar, and Bud Gaugh on Drums. I also learned that Lake of Fire was originally a song by the Meatpuppets (Curt Kirkwood was a member of the meatppuppets and is now a member of Eyes Adrift. Also, Bud Gaugh used to be in sublime!) I must thank http://www.novoselic.com/index2.html for the information. So there ya go, I found Krist for you guys.

id just like to say something about this debate... i know it kinda finished but u guys said that courtney or somebody sent by courtney killed kurt this is a stupid assumption for the following reasons:

courtney did love kurt, they may have been fighting but it wasnt enough to want him dead. after he died she walked around in his bloodstained coat for the rest of the day. she slept in his clothes because they smelt of him. listen to the recording of her reading out his suicide to a crowd at a mourning ceremony and if u still think she killed him your crazy..
you can read what she said here: http://rockdirt.com/article1854.html

the handwriting gets bigger as he writes because the heroine is kicking in. he writes the 1st half then does the herione then as it kicks in he wrote the last part.

the guy was in rehab - he had tried to commit suicide recently before on a tour in rome but had been saved by COURTNEY. he was depressed and hated himself. who can blame him. sorry just defending courtney cuz she rocks.

sorry im a bit of an obsessive... hope this proves something. krist is the best and doesnt get the recognicion he deserves!!! thanks for finding out that sh*t on him hes awesome. its sad how people only know dave grohl and kurt's name and then there like...wait whos the other guy. when krist was there waaay before dave was. so thanks a lot. cyaxx

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Sunday, 8 Feb 2004 12:10)

oh also(sorry me again) he had serious IBS(thats irritable bowl syndrome) and it hurt like a b*tch. he could hardly perform anymore because of it and herion and how his friends hated that he took herion. ok just read the biography itll save you from me 'heavier than heaven' its called. his journals are amazing aswell. courtney did not kill kurt. haha cyaxx

by the way any hole fans here?

Yeah I like, like the song, uh, "Lithium", which is by Nirvana. Being heavy is totally like, not cool and that song like, totally sums that up. There are a lot of people suffering from some harsh issues and this song makes that seem more real to ignorant people out there. People like me, yeah.
The ironic thing about lithium is that it's the lightest known metal, and so it contrasts with the adjective "heavy", which is used in the song. Yeah, totally, like, you know like, you know like, you know. Ahuh.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 13 Feb 2004 21:52)

Yeah, dig your point Sk8a H8a, but Lithium is medication given to depressives & sufferers of other various mental/personality disorders.

sk8a h8a? r u taking the piss? lol .... lalala

Hmm, actually I was feeling slightly weird at the time I made that post. I don't think the word "heavy" actually IS in the song... But anyway, I like it. It's my favourite by Nirvana, and I think I could just listen to it over and over again. The same applies to most Nirvana songs though - I just don't get bored of them, they're a high quality band.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Saturday, 14 Feb 2004 02:24)

yeah great song :) yeah they r a high quality band....omg i was reading courtney love reading kurt cobains suicide note on http://rockdirt.com/article1854.html cuz i had just read his biography (heavier than heaven) and i was CRYING :'( its the saddest damn thing i have read in so long i was crying even more on the last few lines......
And I have to go know. Just tell him he's a fucker, okay? Just say "fucker". "You're a fucker". And that you love him.
that is the saddest line in the entire thing...im crying now!! wow that is such a powerful line! my sister, for her bday got this nirvana book thing and it had a copy of the suicide note in it and i wuz like WOW and it had tons of pictures of him and im gunna be sad all day!!!!! sorry just thought id share that with u :-p :'(

Someone wrote: I wished that kurt had never died, if he haden`t killed him self he would be very faumous . i realy love the music they pruduce.

If I recall well Kurt Cobain killed himself because he was to famous to handle it.. at the moment he killed himself Nirvana was the one most selling noise band, selling more then the other 5/6 noise bands that were "big" at that time...
And for those who didn't know: he dismantled Nirvana the week before he suicided, so I guess that when he hadn't suicided, Nirvana would have been a good memory for my generation, but would have never kept the size that it got after the suicide of Kurt Cobain.

Kurt wasn't stupid to kill himself. He died for what he believed in!

>>By quoth the raven (Tuesday, 3 Feb 2004 11:46)

As I said before He killed himself because he couldn't handle the fame, but also because the pills that should have stopped the pain of his belly didn't work anymore, and he could not live with this pain anymore (which makes me wonder why he didn't shout himself in the belly, but in the face), but this as any other word on the suicide of Kurt is just a theory...

Maybe we should just blame his wife...... Or maybe he saw the future, and that it would bring us RnB and Avril Lasagna and he didn't wanna be a part of that............

>>By Campking   (Monday, 16 Feb 2004 17:10)

O, btw: Kurt was a big liar. Daring to state this: "And I don't have a gun, no I don't have a gun.."

Actually he had several......

>>By Campking   (Monday, 16 Feb 2004 17:12)

hey idontknowdotcom2, lake of fire was by the meat puppets, not meatloaf. i also agree with campking..... i wouldn't wanna be here if i saw the future either.

>>By SoulSlave   (Monday, 16 Feb 2004 17:42)

Wow, someone agrees with me...
I saw the meat puppets live (opening act of Soul Asylum) in 1995 or so, and I still don't understand why Kurt Cobain was so charmed by them.. They had two nice songs but the rest lacked any form of originality.... But that's my humble opinion...

>>By Campking   (Monday, 16 Feb 2004 18:35)

i've never heard anything from them, but i'm sure he saw something most people wouldn't

>>By SoulSlave   (Monday, 16 Feb 2004 18:48)

yeah i agree with campking! and thank u soulslave! i was sure it was meat something :) ive never heard any meat puppets.. they any good?

nirvana was a pure and simple band who wanted to create pure and simple music.
they did.
they touched many people.
they were groundbreaking, yes. because no one was getting noticed in the mtv world that were pure and simple.
i cannot believe some of my friends ever called them sell outs.
i cannot believe it, because they were pure even in time of fame... esp kurt, my fello pices.

i love all of you who believe in the power of music and the power of soul.
btw... the man who sold the world is a david bowie
