Nirvana is my favorite-- i don't know Why. I never tire of them. Nevermind paved the way but I think that a lot of the stuff on in-uetro is still ahead of what is going on out there. I love kurt but what about Krist and Dave?

>>By ricksampsonwilson   (Sunday, 16 May 2004 06:41)

cool ricksampsonwilson..... yeah i love krist and dave too! but i feel bad for krist, whatever happened to him? because dave's obviously in the foo fighters and doing his own thing with other bands but krist kind of just faded away...

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Sunday, 16 May 2004 09:49)

i just cant seem to get into the post nirvana phase other bands just dont seem to have their talent i listen to the foo fighters and they have half the talent of nirvana despite dave's contribution

Krist is out there saving the amazon forrest, last thing I heard he was very happy with that, so I don't think there is anything tov feel bad for. what I understood is that he wanted to stay away from the music scene.......
So i don't think there is a question of fading away for Krist, it is more stpping out...

last i heard...krist is in politics....

>>By odnanref   (Monday, 17 May 2004 16:03)

Saving the amazon forest? really? wow well I'm glad he's doing something good with himself :)

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Monday, 17 May 2004 21:47)

considering 95% of our cures for diseases come from rare plants most of which live in the amazon i am surprised theres not more being done about it

>>By Vavin   (Monday, 17 May 2004 22:18)

so he is saving rainforests now? good for him. i heard he had gone into politics but i had no idea he was into saving the environment as well. Go Krist.

politics?

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Tuesday, 18 May 2004 22:10)

yes...politics

>>By odnanref   (Tuesday, 18 May 2004 22:13)

anyone watch hockey you hear about ken dryden going into politics he quit as the maple leafs asssistant manager or something so he could go in for the liberals

>>By Vavin   (Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:31)

no offense vavin...but who cares bout ken dryden...this is about nirvana....not hockey and leaves...

>>By odnanref   (Wednesday, 19 May 2004 15:57)

When I am not mistaken Krist is also backing up the green party in the us, either as electable member or as list pusher..........

>>By Campking   (Wednesday, 19 May 2004 16:45)

Cool, Krist Novoselic as a member of the House of Representatives would be cool. Why would anyone not vote for him?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Wednesday, 19 May 2004 18:52)

wow that's so cool :)

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Wednesday, 19 May 2004 23:32)

odnanref the point was more about politics which you brought up read more carefully

>>By Vavin   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 00:10)

Yeah, but it was going off the point of Nirvana. If you wanna discuss Ken Dryden (whoever he is), find a board with some relevance to him, although I doubt there is one. Do his policies include promotion of Nirvana or something?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 16:03)

sk8a h8a thanks bro. for backin me up on that.....Vavin, i'm honestly not tryin to offend you i'd just much rather talk bout nirvana and what the band members are up to now...not that one guy who's not involved with leaves anymore....maybe you should read a little more carefully...you're in a discussion about NIRVANA....not leaves and ken dryden...n e ways back to Nirvana....

>>By odnanref   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 19:45)

How is Krist saving the Amazon rainforest? I mean, what is he doing exactly?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 20:33)

you brought up politics not me but yes lets drop it and talk about nirvana

>>By Vavin   (Friday, 21 May 2004 00:35)

So what's your favourite album?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 21 May 2004 00:49)

from the muddy banks of the wishka whats your favorite

>>By Vavin   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 00:47)

In Utero. My favourite song off that album is "Scentless Apprentice" because it's so damn heavy! The non-heavy songs on there are awesome too, though. "Rape Me", "Heart-Shaped Box", "All Apologies" and "Pennyroyal Tea" are all the shizzle. I just love them all, although "tourettes" and "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter" aren't so good...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 03:41)

did nirvana ever produce a bad song or album the answer to that is no all their songs are great i really dont have a favorite

>>By Vavin   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 04:04)

Okaeey - it's painfully obvious that you're in dire need of punctuation.
Mexican Seafood ain't a great song... I still adore it though.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 17:22)

all nirvana songs are great

>>By Vavin   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 18:15)

I've found that the bass lines and also the lyrics on Bleach are really cool. I do love About a Girl particularly! Haha, what a bad pun. But seriously, Nirvana did well to lose Chad and Jason. No offence to them but Dave is a way better drummer and Nirvana sound better with one guitar.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 23 May 2004 14:32)

It occurs to me that nobody is going to get what my pun is. It's the words "I do". They're in About a Girl... I reckon that song is about marriage.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 23 May 2004 17:45)

dont quit your day job

>>By Vavin   (Monday, 24 May 2004 02:45)

My day job actually consists of writing songs - pretty cool huh? I'm trying to make my band the next Nirvana. Maybe we won't be as good, but we'll try! Also I'm not going to kill myself like Kurt so we'll be around for loger (hopefully). There's an example of a band that really has been inspired by Nirvana.
