i find that very offensive whoever said we are all gay. some of my best friends are gay and i think it is stupid to use gay as a derrogitary term. anyway, just thought id say that and also that gc are the worst band i have heard in a long long LONG time....

I've heard good charlotte, and i have a question for all you people. why do you buy into all this ****? I'm asking a seriouse question. Not to say that they are a bad band, but this sounds like every other band iv'e heard for the past 4-5 years. Not every band, but the majority. Would it kill these new bands and artists to try something new for a change? seriously. I'm not trashing any band, because obviously they made it big and they have talent, but nothing new. And not to sound condescending, but it sound's like alot of these bands have no idea how to create anything other than power chords and simple melodies.

Why would we be jealous of something we despise? This is a discussion about Good Charlotte(not FOR FANS ONLY like some genius assumed...)so we can talk about anything we like given that it's related to Good Charlotte. We have a negative view of them and we are expressing it. Insulting us because of it will just make you look like an @$$.

I haven't been here on a while and it's the first time I'm writing something here.... I'm a bif fan of GC and I've been that since I heard lifestyles of the rich and the famous... but I got all the CD's and I can't wait until their 3rd comes out in the end of the summer =)... something I wonders about is why it's so imprtant to know their bloodtypes or how many album they've sold at this moment... isn't it enough to know that the albums is going great and that they're good anyway? what I've got to know they don't care how the albums are selling, they're gonna play until no one want's to hear them anymore...
this is just a little part of my view and believe me when I say I'm gonna let you know what I want to say... don't be scared... i'm not dangerus *lol* see ya!

hmmm....of course its not important to kno a band's bloodtype or anything like that... its only the music that shoulld matter so ppl shouldn't go around bragging they know everything about the band when they obviously don't and its nothing to brag about because theres no point in knowing everything about a band because thats not whats important.

Ok, so I'm 29 and posting here to get a feel for why my 9 year old girl is completely Good Charlotte obsessed :) SOmeone's take on the lyrical side of the band and if the subject matter is even remotely appropriate for someone in her age group? Trying to be a "cool mom" and not far removed from the times my mother hit the ceiling when I listened to the likes of Alice Cooper and Ozzy (and still listen along with most of the stuff the kids drag home) Thanks!

oh really... they got that name from a children book called Good Charlotte... the girl's name is Charlotte and she has blue hair and she lives with her grandma who always says Good Charlotte to her... she's not very popular... and when GC read that book; after they got that name, they realized t´hat the name fitted good on them... they've tried to change it sometime but they're too known with this name and me personally can't think of a better name to them... someone said they could take "The Pieman" and that's even worse...

Eww, that's a sick lyric. It sounds terrible anyway, but I always said the Anthem was their worst song. I never had to listen to the words to realise how much it sucked.
Naturally blue hair in a story like that would make sense - I can say nothing bad about this story. It sounds brilliant. But as for those guys who ripped it off, shame upon them. Supposing I wanted to search on the Internet for the book, and typed in "Good Charlotte", I'd get totally unreliable results. That's bad. I think Janne is right - they do sound like a little girl (who is of course Good Charlotte), but it's really demeaning to see grown men whining in this way. Out of the comments from the 4 band members (notice how nobody ever asks the drummer because he'll be gone in a few months anyway), Benji is closest to the truth. It tells EVERYTHING about them, not just a little. Paul, Joel and Billy are all wrong, however. It's not a cool band name.
The reason I asked about this in the first place was that I thought Good Charlotte was a pretty dumb name, and pop bands ought to have good names, or they'll be laughed at. The fans seem to respect the name either because they're so obsessed that they looked it up and realised that it actually is about them or because they're so stupid they don't care. All I can say is that it's obvious they intended from the start to sound like a whiny little girl.
