if a fan like just Benj, then it's not the bands fan, it's a fan of Benji, someone who adores him and not all of them. if they really cares that much if he's gay and stops loving the band then they're just... don't care about the band... and it's hard to stop loving a band just like that.... it takes time, and btw.. I saw TRL about a week ago with Christina Auguilera as guest and if I remember right she said she'd dated Benj... I dunno if it's true...

well, HIM is my fav. band and ville valo is hot as hell and i saw pics of him kissing jussi 69, singer from the mission and few more people, so he's probably gay or bi, but HIM is still my #1 band, cause of their songs... the same should go with real gc fans

Ville Valo just likes kissing people, doesn't he? Not that it means anything to me, since I'm not a fan of HIM.
I would probably be disillusioned if I found out that the songs of a band I liked were all about gay stuff. It doesn't bother me if someone I like is gay, though.

Let's say GC never became famous, mmkay? No one's ever heard of them, and the band members (especially Benji and Joel) aren't trl hot shots.
This ditzy girl (probably Krystal) walks down the street. Benji with his poser clothes and hairstyles, also walks down the same street. They see each other.
Benji: hey baby.
Krystal: omg eww lyke get away freak!
That would most likely happen if GC weren't famous. Now, because they are, lots of teenyboppers think they are oh so hot, when really, if you look closely at them, they look like absolute crap.
This is what mtv does, Krystal. They take people like GC and label them as "cool." So what happens? People like you FOLLOW.
GC is nothing but a trend. And, like all trends, they will fade.

I have been a dedicated fan for a little over a year, and I have to say that their music has meant more to me than the guys in GC will ever know. Not only did it help me make it through a 4 month struggle with depression, GC's music has helped me better appreciate the good things in life that I have. The first true rock concert that I ever went to was a GC concert featuring Goldfinger and Eve 6, and they rocked harder live that I had even hoped they would! I believe that the below quote by a different user elaborates on the exact same sentiments I have about GC.

I love this band and have ever since I saw their video for "Little Things". They have so much talent, and have definitely matured in their music on their new cd. Some people complain about them, yet they take about how life is. They deal with real life issues, such as rejection from peers, and not the pop crap of "guy loving girl, girl not loving guy." Sure, they have a few songs about that, but their whole cd is not about that! My absolute favorite song is "Wondering", which was inspired by Joel and Benji's dog. Being an animal lover and a big fan of GC, this made me love them more... so, although i might sound like a teeny-bopper (hell, i hope not), Joel is hot! Anyway, this amazing band has so much talent, and I will always be a fan!
