KURT COBAIN IS GOD!!!!!

>>By ladyvenom_619   (Tuesday, 30 Mar 2004 18:25)

Kurt Cobain was a very creative yet very tormented artist...he inspired a generation of people and (many would disagree) completely changed the course of rock music.I would never say he's a messiah or a God but it is hard to downplay what the man did for a short period history during the late 80's and early 90's.He breathed passion and creativity into an otherwise bland genre of music.
As for all the conspiracy theories surrounding his death...well,it's all bull.He became seriously addicted to heroin, became a recluse and decided to stick a remmington rifle in his mouth and blow his face off.
It wasn't Courtney's fault-she didn't turn him into a smackhead, infact it was probably the other way round.
Kurt Donald Cobains life was doomed from his inception-he came from a long line of troubled family history and he said himself at one point "I have the suicide gene"
Nevertheless, his inner torment and angst provided great inspiration and entertainment for everyone-so,let's forget about all that shit and stick "In Utero" or whatever, into the CD player and rock out!
R.I.P Kurdt Kobain!

>>By therion   (Tuesday, 30 Mar 2004 21:53)

YEAH!! haha very well said endless_nameless! therion, you dont know what that means? its basically just saying what it says! Courtney is not allowed to share a room with her daughter, frances.... they can't see eachother without somebody else being there to oversee them.... yeah and thats about it..... wahey

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Tuesday, 30 Mar 2004 21:55)

thanks for clearing that up

>>By *Vovin*   (Wednesday, 31 Mar 2004 16:12)

lets not talk about courtney....this is about nirvana and kurt cobain...

>>By feLipE   (Thursday, 1 Apr 2004 21:16)

Yes; if that line of conversation fits anywhere, it's in the Kurt Cobain discussion. But it's getting quite boring now, anyway.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 2 Apr 2004 00:34)

hey, what do you guys think of You Know You're right?I fuckin love it!He obviousally wrote that song during the deepest phase of his depression,I mean listen to the irony in the line:"things have never been so swell"
Anyway here comes the 4th of April again-the anniversary of Kurt's(and Nirvanas') death.I predict the glowing embers are going to be raked once more and there's gonna be like a Kurt Cobain day on MTV2 or something,I mean we've seen all the video footage before,we've heard all the songs before...it seems to me that everyone's cashing in on one man's troubled and painful career...it just seems so ironic to me.Let's just keep Kurt in our hearts........man,that was beautiful *sniff*

>>By endless_nameless   (Friday, 2 Apr 2004 02:56)

kurt R.I.P, i fucking love you man... i promisse i wont be scared if you appear as aghost someday to me.. NIRVANA. es magnanimo!!! un grupo como este no va a volver a ver en la historia. IS the greatest band in the world.. no body willl ever be like they were..
IM SO SAD.. WHY AM I SO SAD¿?? WHY DO I FEEL THIS WAY ABOUT NIRVANA.. THIS FEELING IS SO STRONG..

>>By sublime_lau_py   (Friday, 2 Apr 2004 03:12)

the anniversary of Kurt's(and Nirvanas')

actually Nirvana had split about a week before the suicide of Kurt Cobain. So when KC shot himself trough the head Nirvana was already over........

I think we should do nothing with the 4th of april anyways... let the man rest, that's the only reason why he shot himself, he needed rest................

>>By Campking   (Friday, 2 Apr 2004 11:41)

Really?I thought they were close to splitting but I didn't know they already had...I learn something new everyday...well,apart from yesterday-it was a pretty slow day, although I did watch an interesting documentary about elephants...did you know they are the only mammals to have foutrkneecaps?!Four kneecapaps!!!madness!!!So
I guess I did learn something new...I'll stop typing now...blah.

>>By endless_nameless   (Friday, 2 Apr 2004 14:00)

No, they had already split up. But they split up because he was going to commit suicide. I don't think they knew about it though...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 2 Apr 2004 18:06)

Nirvana is the greatest band on the earth i grew up on Nirvana the song you know your right was downloaded millions of times on its first release date no one will ever forget the band or Kurt R.I.P.

>>By *Vovin*   (Friday, 2 Apr 2004 21:05)

But they split up because he was going to commit suicide. I don't think they knew about it though...

Actually they split up because K. couldn't and didn't wanted to face the media anymore. He wasn't able to cope with the stress (so they said was the reason). This was already clear when they blew the European tour in Italy earlier in the tour. This because K. had taken a quite adventerous mix of alcohol and -if i recall well- sleeping pills. But ofcourse Kurt couldn't go as Jimi went (lethal mix of sleeping pills and champagne, combined with being on his back in an English ambulance while puking, which made him suffocate in his own vommit). So far for not knowing that he was able to commit suicide, this first attempt lead to a second, more succesfull attempt... Too bad, though I must admit I wasn't to shocked when I heard the news. I had just returned my ticked for the Nirvana show in The Netherlands when I found out he had commit suicide amd could only react with a very laconiek: "They all have to go at 27". and smiled later in the evening when the dj played "Bullet in the head" from RATM, mixed with that songs of the smashing pumpkins with the line "bang bang your dead, hole in your head", just before playing that one song of Nirvana where he sings "and I don't have a gun, no I don't have a gun".
Guess my cynism was already forming well that day, and even though this is sick, I still have to smile when I think about this little mix.........

Well anyway, just listened to bleach, and good music stays good music... Going to sleep with a smile..

Goodnight...

I have a 2-hr radio show from April 4th, 2004 that focuses on Kurt's death and Courtney's involvement. The book that the authors and the detective that Courtney hired are on the show. There is lots of evidence that there was foul play involved. For a CD of this show, drop me a line at soupnazi99@yahoo.com

>>By Jakenovaselic   (Monday, 5 Apr 2004 05:18)

well here it is. the day they discovered his body. a local rock station here is playing Nirvana for 24 hours. Also, is it thought that he committed suicide on the 4th or 5th? They think he had been dead 3 days when he was found on the 8th, so would that make it the 4th or 5th. blah I guess it doesnt matter too much. 10 years guys.

>>By RaveOnCaroline   (Thursday, 8 Apr 2004 22:06)

heylooo
im your sweet 666...HIM's biggest fan!!!...i write on the ville valo page alot...but i just felt like writing here...
...okies yeah i do like nirvana...and i do admire kurt cobain...BUT...all this week on kerrang and scuzz....has bassically been nirvana non stop...i can barely listen to other stuff....i like the songs...but ive heard them all and seen all the videos like 1 million and 2 times!!!

>>By your sweet 666 godess   (Thursday, 8 Apr 2004 22:18)

Yeah, the 10th anniversary of a suicide doesn't seem like a really good reason to keep playing the songs... It's such a great pity he's not still alive.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 8 Apr 2004 23:57)

lol....i kno...but still...we have heard all these songs like a million times

>>By your sweet 666 godess   (Friday, 9 Apr 2004 00:03)

Luckely we don't hear the songs of HIM a milliion times...

It is a dedication to a guy who really changed things. OKe, from the 3 official albums there is not much variation if you play Nirvana a whole week, but you must be blank in the head when you can't understand it happens.. I wish there was a bit more of attention to his dead here, but here MTV played twice the same documentary, and made sure that before playing another block of Nirvana stuff there would be some stupid RnB videoclips, or songs from bands who for me destroyed serious guitar music....

>>By Campking   (Friday, 9 Apr 2004 14:33)

Any band's songs played a million times would get annoying - even Nirvana's.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 9 Apr 2004 15:36)

i love niravan. i love the band and kurt. i feel that sometimes people over look the greatness of this band. some people love nirvana and never stop to think that the members are real people too. kurt D. Cobain was his own person and nobady in this world could be like him but just cause you love him you see that he was his own person it did not make him and unreal person and people who think of him that way were the people who helped drive his death!!!
ple..............................

>>By P-L-E   (Friday, 9 Apr 2004 16:49)

may kurt cobain rest in peace! i thought it was april 5th that he died.... oh well.... amazing yet misunderstood man. it is so sad that kurt died. much as i hate to say it, all of nirvana's music is getting old and i just wish that kurt was still around to make more amazing music. you know you're right was the last plea of a dying man. all these nirvana and kurt specials are making me sad....i think ill go read his biography now!

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Saturday, 10 Apr 2004 19:11)

nirvan's music will never get annoying no matter how many times you listen to the records

>>By Vavin   (Sunday, 11 Apr 2004 03:58)

yeah maybe not annoying, just kinda old...

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Sunday, 11 Apr 2004 12:28)

old is a relative word the music is great and will never go out of style i still have records that were put out 15 years ago and their still great

>>By Vavin   (Sunday, 11 Apr 2004 16:50)

I think a constant repetition of Nirvana songs would indeed get annoying. but they haven't been played enough yet. But we know Nirvana were a holy creation that revolutionized music - if we keep overplaying their songs, what are the chances that we'll get another Nirvana? I mean another really great band. Most new bands these days are Nirvana wannabes.

>>By Flake 1.6   (Sunday, 11 Apr 2004 19:18)

yeah the playing of nirvana over and over is annoying....it is just another way our capitalist "western" civilization has found a way of making money....

>>By quoth the raven   (Sunday, 11 Apr 2004 20:54)

yeah... but they keep playing a few of the songs over and over and over again (smells like teen spirit, lithium, heart shaped box etc) even though theyre all good songs, there are other good nirvana songs too! so yeah ... it is annoying when they overplay those amazing songs... oh well
