I saw them on the twentieth. Really great - they played one new song, though I can't remember anything about it. : /

All the lucky lucky people that got to see Muse at the Earls Court gigs...... They are just a powerhouse of a band live huh?

>>By muse junkie   (Thursday, 13 Jan 2005 01:24)

Although i dont/cant really listen to muse that often, i have to admit that they are fairly brilliant, although every time i listen to them i find myself to be depressed, and a few of my friend getthe same symptoms whenever they listen to them, Hmm maybe its an epidemic of some sort, run for your lives, but dont forget to bring Muse( or Maiden)

>>By pinkfluffybrickmeister   (Thursday, 13 Jan 2005 16:46)

yes they really are amazing live.
i don't think they make depressing music. Coldplay is depressing music, well i think so anyway....

>>By devon_girl   (Monday, 24 Jan 2005 17:23)

Coldplay more depressing than Muse? I disagree... listen to Muse's lyrics for crying out loud!

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Monday, 24 Jan 2005 19:23)

Hmmm... Took forever (couldn't find it)... But I just got Absolution... Depressing or not, they're both good...

>>By Grazyl   (Tuesday, 25 Jan 2005 12:56)

OMG I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO SE MUSELIVE BUT I JUST SAW THEM ON FUSE TV AND THEY WERE SOOO AWESOME. OMFG

>>By u r_a_tard   (Thursday, 10 Feb 2005 01:31)

yeh, its not the lyrics im talkin about its the actual music. But then again i think Coldpaly are shit, but whatever.

YEH, Muse are bloody great live, on television or not!!!!!!!!!

>>By devon_girl   (Saturday, 19 Feb 2005 17:58)

Coldplay have more depressing music than Muse, but Muse have such bleak lyrics. However, I don't think Muse's lyrics are up to much whereas I think Coldplay are brilliant overall.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Saturday, 19 Feb 2005 22:57)

I agree Coldplay are Brilliant, and it isn't necessarily depressing, it just depends on what mood ur in, in the first place. As to Muse's lyrics I actually believe that they have a lot more meaning than Coldplay's lyrics. (Not that they're bad ones.) :-]

>>By Mrs.Bellamy   (Sunday, 20 Feb 2005 04:00)

Oh, they may be meaningful but I don't think they're particularly clever...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 20 Feb 2005 20:20)

They're exceptionally clever, meaningful AND clever. Coldplay's are amateur-ish

>>By muse junkie   (Thursday, 3 Mar 2005 05:38)

there are far betterbands than muse

>>By Flagg   (Thursday, 3 Mar 2005 16:37)

Muse's lyrics are desolate and semi-clichéd whereas Coldplay's are beautiful and touch the heart - oh and you put "clever" twice: "clever, meaningful AND clever"

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 6 Mar 2005 18:05)

I think muse junkie was just trying emphasize how clever Muse's lyrics are : )

>>By Mrs.Bellamy   (Sunday, 6 Mar 2005 22:07)

Well, I don't think they deserve even 1, never mind 2

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 6 Mar 2005 22:24)

Yes indeed Mrs Bellamy i was trying to emphasize.
Desolate yes, but only when they need to be.
Muse dont want to touch your heart, if you want that i suggest easy-listening. They want to challenge your thought.

>>By muse junkie   (Monday, 7 Mar 2005 04:21)

Muse have never challenged my thought or touched y heart, but I think they are good lyrics. It's not too hard to come up with Muse-esque lyrics though. Coldplay, I can't seem to take too seriously for some reason.

>>By Flagg   (Monday, 7 Mar 2005 19:29)

Muse and Coldplay are both very good bands but they are two very different bands so you can't really compare. Chris Martin is a genius in his own way, after all he actually learned scientist backwards for that video! and matthew bellamy is a fantastic musical genius so like i said you can't compare!
AND NEITHER IS DEPRESSING!!!!! If you can't handle music that isn't full of happy pop lyrics than revert to s club 7

>>By future ruler of the world   (Wednesday, 9 Mar 2005 12:17)

I personally think Chris Martin is a musical genius - compare Clocks to Stockholm Syndrome, for example... I think Clocks is better - I also think Matt Bellamy is an extremely good singer; probably better than Chris
As for depressing, Coldplay can be if you appreciate 'em properly

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Wednesday, 9 Mar 2005 20:49)

Why would you ever want to compare Clocks with Stockholm Syndrome????? apples and oranges

>>By muse junkie   (Wednesday, 9 Mar 2005 23:37)

Personally I prefer apples...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 10 Mar 2005 22:37)

How did everyone start comparing Muse to Coldplay anyway?

>>By Flagg   (Friday, 11 Mar 2005 16:03)

yes they really are amazing live.
i don't think they make depressing music. Coldplay is depressing music, well i think so anyway....

>>By devon_girl (Monday, 24 Jan 2005 17:23)

And so it began...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 11 Mar 2005 18:55)

Muse and Coldplay should not be compared.

And so it ended.

>>By Flagg   (Sunday, 13 Mar 2005 20:41)

Oranges.

>>By muse junkie   (Sunday, 13 Mar 2005 21:29)

Did anyone get oddly hungry after that discussion?

>>By Mrs.Bellamy   (Monday, 14 Mar 2005 02:36)

Yes =) and Flagg is right Muse and Coldplay should not be compared, well, in looks Matt Bellamy wins anyway =)

>>By future ruler of the world   (Monday, 14 Mar 2005 17:03)

>>By muse junkie   (Wednesday, 16 Mar 2005 05:44)
