well, the info on the other guys on the band is there if anyone wants to find it, however its not in all the magazines. they do concentrate on ville often giving a small mention to the band. do you think Ville is big headed?

I don't think Ville is big headed. The other members even said that they like it that Ville gets all the attention. They don't mind being in the background. Ville is in no way a big headed rock star. He seems very logical and down to earth. Ville is the frontman though, all bands have a frontman so we shouldn't judge him for being given that position.

I didn't say he was unreasonably big-headed - since he's the frontman of a band as famous as HIM and the other members are so modest, it makes sense for him to be big-headed or HIM wouldn't remain famous...

well yes its booooooooring... but i'll make up a story to make it sound interesting!!!
once upon a time... there was a country called scotland... and ...this was no ordinary contry... everyone there looked like the singer from yvonne's (yoursweet666godess) favourite band HIM... who by the way is called ville valo.
...so of course...yvonne fancied EVERYONE as ville valo is stunning... so she wanted to marry them ALL.... but the law wouldnt allow this... so... the took them all to different countries.. and married them one by one.... and it was really cool :-D....
and they all lived happily ever after...
... so you see scotland really is a great place to be! with lots of history!!!

I have been away for awhile but... oh well... Ville big headed? yeah right, like you could act like a diva in a country like Finland! see what happened to sacked-Nightwish-singer... so I don't think he would survive if the piss got into his head...
Oh by the way, I had a nice laugh when someone compared HIM's music to emo. That must be a coincidence, emo seems to be only a weird American/British music style, in Scandinavia I don't think it's been influence on any bands' music. By the way, I'm shocked to realize how there's this "war" between emo and metal people. Why don't we just unite our forces to fight against MTV-r'n b!?? X)

Hey, I haven't posted here in awhile! And I'm sorry that this is sort of off topic but I read from the top and you were all talking about how you think Ville has a big head about things, well he doesn't ... I just had to defend him on that one, everytime I ever talked to him he was so nice and completely grounded and down to earth. He's always been so nice to me and I had to stick up for that one. Loves.

His opinions about the other bands have been quite mean lately. I just finished reading an article on a Finnish music mag about him and zeez he was mean. I mean he was arrogant towards other bands and he only talked about himself not the band as a whole. After all he would be nothing without his band.
The new album is pure ****. Commercial, boring, too familiar and just lame. Ville Valo has changed during the years. He used to dedicated himself to music but these days he seems to care more about the business side of his career. Who knows. Don't get mad at me, this is just my opinion.

Oh, I totally see where you're coming from, but I don't think he's ever lost sight of the music. He may have been arrogant, thats how most musicians are, its called attitude. I'm not saying thats a good thing, although it isn't a bad thing either. If you knew him, or even just talked to him once you'd see how he is, he isn't like that, not personally. People sometimes put up those walls out in public, and he's one of those people.
And to Doree, I read your post in in the Doors thread and since you're trying to "discover" music, I suggest you listen to, if you haven't already, The Doors- "Peace Frogs" and anything by John Lennon, whether it be his solo stuff or with the Beatles. Music is sort of my passion in life.

he isnt particularly arrogant, but he is truthful on his opinion of other bands, I too have noticed Ville changing, but I think that is his maturity. Yes the music has changed and is alot more commercial than love metal, but ville wants success, whatever buisness you are in, you have the drive to be the best and do well and he is frustrated that they are still struggling commercially.
