About the Wings of a Butterfly-video, Linde looked very refined there :D and Ville was just Ville... that video is like Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy meets Batman! the guys must've been on acid while making it...

That tattoo's guy is Timo K. Mukka, a late Finnish writer whose works Ville has never read but people say his lyrics are similar with Mukka's books. I've read them but they're much better and deeper than any of Ville's lyrics, Mukka's stuff is about people who live in Lapland, have lots of sex and then die by getting killed or committing suicide. I don't know what they have to do with HIM's lyrics :P love embraces death, I guess?
Jonna pregnant? I just red that Ville thinks he's not cabable to reproduce cos his sperm is fucked up or something, heh. It was in pre-teenager's pop mag, quite reliable...

When I met Ville, Bam, him, and myself had a conversation about "drugs, sex, and rock and roll", (like which out of the three would you choose?), Ville picked sex, but Bam picked rock and roll because he said if you have rock and roll the other two will come with it so why bother to choose just one?

The new album is great!, I have a feeling the next album will be a lot more heavy as they hint it with the heavy riffs and screams, no guitar solos though :(, but still a really impressive album.

Yea i mean it doesent have any guitar solos, Im curious to no if this album was planned to be a concept one, alot of songs deliberately sound the same, like the heavy riff in 'Vampire Heart' is very similar to the end riff when the album ends, and the way Ville sings on 'Killing lonlieness' in the verse is alot like how he sings the verse in 'Behind the Crimson Door'. It took me a few listens to get used to it, I appreciated it a lot more after a couple of listens.

Wicked music for the tortured soul...
I have to admit that I haven't heard much about Ville or the music of H.I.M. until recently.
But after hearing some of the new stuff off the latest release "Dark Light" I was suprised by the twisted sentiment of this band and given their image I had to ask- are they serious with all this BS???
The jury's still out on that one...
But after looking into their other releases back to like '97, Ville's music appears to be centered around a manic fixation with suicide and sacrilege. All warped up in some kind of lusty goth package.
But since I am not of the female persuasion, the "pretty package" is lost on me. All I see is a guy trying too hard to make the 'crack model look' appealing... wait, is that eyeshadow actually tatooed on???
Re-diculous.
All this could be forgiven / over-looked if the music was catchy, but no.
Musically it sounds like any other goth, metal, copy-cat riffs. You know them when you hear them.
Lyrically it's as emotionally barbed as the Devil himself, so if that's the goal- it's working. Wretchedly pointless- but proof positive that it does indeed "take all types"
ANYONE out there who actually thinks for one single solitary second that this guy is emotionally genuine needs to take a second look at the lyrics, and a good looooong look in the mirror, and slap themselves- but take out the lip ring first.
Wake up!
They have a name for those that are easilly led around due to their lack of reasoning:
sheep.
Don't be one. Your life will be better spent on the persuit of brighter goals than aspiring to be a fictional undead follower of this music. Turn it off and go outside to get some fresh air. Don't be afraid of the light!

oh yeah..... Ville and Him's poularity is now academic.... I am no sheep can't speak for others!!! The dark side of life is fun and Ville's music and lyrics capture that better than anyone else. Ville is an innovator not a pale imitation of others. The fact he is so damn hot is a glorious bonus.

What kind of entertainment are they WORLD FAMOUS for?
Now tell me again how much of an "innovator" Ville is.
The biggest difference between them and H.I.M. is really the music.
Now I shouldn't have to even say who makes the better music in that comparison.
Well, Cooper could be debatable, I'll grant you. But as a showman, Ville's got ZIP on Alice Cooper...
Been there, done that.
It's ironic really that you yourself used the term "pale imitation" to suggest what Ville is not...
In truth, I can't think of a more literal way to describe him.
