Well they've certainly been trying to break into the US market but dunno if the whole mainstream thing is a good thing or not. Then again i cant stand those people who wont listen to anything mainstream, or will love a band untill it becomes mainstream. So pretentious.
Exactly 4 weeks untill I see Muse live.......and counting.......

>>By u r_a_tard   (Tuesday, 17 Aug 2004 06:16)

Is it just me or do you HAVE to play Stockholm Syndrome really REALLY loud? Its just great rock.

>>By PatchworkDove   (Saturday, 21 Aug 2004 00:10)

Was I the only one to be slightly disappointed by their latest album? It was completely different to Showbiz and Origin - lacking in something I think.

>>By Tchock   (Sunday, 22 Aug 2004 15:37)

You definitely hav to play SS really really loud, i totally agree!
Absolution is gr8! I dont think it lacks anything, in fact i think its richer than Showbiz and Origin (put togetha!) not 'better', just 'richer'.

Muse SHOULD have won 'best live act' AND 'best british band' over the bloody Darkness at the Kerrang! Awards. But at least they won best album ¬¬

>>By PatchworkDove   (Friday, 27 Aug 2004 18:07)

yes, the bloody Darkness. Am I the only one to cringe at the faintest decibel of that god awful band. And to think someone had the cheek to play that song "I believe in a thing called love" on MY guitar. Bien sur, Je batte.

>>By Tchock   (Friday, 27 Aug 2004 18:27)

darkness are a disgrace to music....muse should definently have won that best live act award....and the best british band....

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Saturday, 28 Aug 2004 00:25)

what an embarassment to have darkness win over muse

>>By muse junkie   (Monday, 30 Aug 2004 06:19)

oh i know...just because theyre more popular than muse and much more mainstream :( they won it last year as well (the darkness)

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Monday, 30 Aug 2004 14:13)

The Darkness is party music.

>>By Obfuscated   (Monday, 30 Aug 2004 16:08)

party music? hahahahahaha really? hmm...theyre not as good as muse :) nowhere near as good :)

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Monday, 30 Aug 2004 19:10)

I will admit that I thought The Darkness were pretty good when they first came out but now... its just the same ting over and over. Why aren't people tired of them? Isn't it obvious that Justin (I think thats his name) is just pi... I'm not sure if they'll let me say that, uh, messing around, but he has people eating out of his bloody hands ¬¬

>>By PatchworkDove   (Tuesday, 31 Aug 2004 20:52)

The Darkness sux, Muse rocks! Its like Beethoven vs Britney Spears, seriously!

>>By muse junkie   (Wednesday, 1 Sep 2004 01:37)

I suppose you mean "Britney Spears vs Beethoven"... the Darkness aren't THAT bad, but of course they don't come anywhere near Muse for musical talent or originality. They're just popular because they have high spirits and they remind people of Queen. They're god in their own way. Just not as good as Muse...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Wednesday, 1 Sep 2004 11:15)

haha yeah the darkness' glory days are over but they're trying to pull themselves back...it's very pathetic... ... theyre good if you like that kind of music.... how big are muse in america? if at all?

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Wednesday, 1 Sep 2004 14:27)
