Eerie whispers trapped beneath my pillow

>>By muse junkie   (Monday, 15 Nov 2004 01:18)

who sed muse r onli 3 albums into their career, they r 4 albums, not 3. Showbiz, Hullabaloo, Origin of Symmetry and Absolution

>>By devon_girl   (Monday, 15 Nov 2004 20:46)

Hullabaloo was filler - a collection of b-sides, rarities and live tracks to keep fans happy until Absolution came out. In other words, it doesn't count - nothing new was written and recorded for the album, it was more of a summary of the first two albums, and doesn't help illustrate my point whatsoever.

I still want to know how much Radiohead MuseJunkie has heard. While it's unfair to compare the two bands, and they're at different stages in their careers, well.... it's screamingly obvious to me that Muse are not the better band.

>>By Flagg   (Monday, 15 Nov 2004 23:47)

Oh yeah and I learned Ashamed this morning. One helluva fun song to play. Just so it's clear I'm not ANTI-Muse. ;)

>>By Flagg   (Monday, 15 Nov 2004 23:49)

Yeah i dont think Hullaballoo counts as a separate album as such. Maybe half an album he he making Muse 3 1/2 albums into their career :P
Flagg, Im not a Radiohead fan but I've listened to many of their songs.....still think Muse are better but only coz Muse are better than any other band for me. Its my own view, not an objective observation.
You're not Anti-Muse, got it :)

>>By muse junkie   (Tuesday, 16 Nov 2004 01:12)

Fair enough - I think I'm ready to stop being confrontational. : )

>>By Flagg   (Wednesday, 17 Nov 2004 17:53)

Yay!

>>By muse junkie   (Thursday, 18 Nov 2004 05:47)

I'm soo excited-Muse is finally coming to shitty old Tucson Arizona in U.S on Dec. 13. Im really excited and just thought Id tell ppl.

>>By u r_a_tard   (Sunday, 21 Nov 2004 03:37)

Wow, nobodys said nethin in here for a while. Has conversation about muse died out? Surely not! How can anyone get tired of talkin bout Matt Bellamy???

>>By devon_girl   (Monday, 29 Nov 2004 21:56)

I watched the MTV Europe music awards about a week ago...I didn't like them, I don't even like MTV!

But the good moment that I do remember is when Brian Molko gave the award for (I can't remember what category they won) to Muse; Matt and Brian saying hello and huging, that was inspiring...in a weird way, I guess.

>>By CHARLOS   (Tuesday, 30 Nov 2004 00:34)

some 1 think of something controversial to say.

>>By u r_a_tard   (Thursday, 2 Dec 2004 21:48)

Ok. Matt Bellamy is secretly a woman. Or did we all already know that

>>By Flagg   (Thursday, 2 Dec 2004 23:05)

yeah we knew that......thats why chicks dig him ;)

>>By muse junkie   (Friday, 3 Dec 2004 04:37)

That has a twisted logic all of its own.

>>By Flagg   (Friday, 3 Dec 2004 18:22)

I want to be matt bellamy. Micro cuts is slightly too high for me though...

>>By dannythejuggler   (Friday, 3 Dec 2004 22:05)

If i was bellamy i'd be disappointed that i was only him and not thom yorke. i might even want to be me again.... naaaah.

>>By Flagg   (Friday, 3 Dec 2004 22:09)

Still, ONLY Matt Bellamy si pretty good.

>>By Bitch Fit   (Friday, 3 Dec 2004 22:27)

i adore muse. the music is energetic and powerful and the vocals are to die for.
their one of those rare bands that (so far) seems to get better with age.
and they put on a fantastic live show!

>>By MOTU_KOAB   (Sunday, 5 Dec 2004 03:44)

"energetic and powerful and the vocals are to die for."

Absolutely. I would love to see them live. I'm a bit late for Earl's Court now but one day... :)

>>By Flagg   (Sunday, 5 Dec 2004 18:25)

i love matt bellamy, hes soo cute. Lol. Yay 14 days to go!!! Has ne1 else seen them live before, bcos if u have dont u rekon they r soo much better live? They really r at their best wen playin live. Even at v festival, in an outdoor area the sound was just amazing, and matts vocals were just sooo great, he didnt put a note wrong!!!

>>By devon_girl   (Sunday, 5 Dec 2004 21:49)

i've seen them twice once at a festival so that was outdoor and then their own concert which was indoor both we're fantastic the indoor better though because i could hear them properly.
my only problem was that they didn't talk much i don't know maybe it was just those two shows i went to? is this just my experience?
but yeah they are so much better to see live cause then you get to see all that energy for yourself not just listen to it!

>>By MOTU_KOAB   (Monday, 6 Dec 2004 00:13)

Twisted logic indeed Flagg :)
I think Microcuts would be too high for any guy - its too high for Matt, but he can pull it off. I wonder what it would sound like if a girl would sing it.
Yeah the band didnt talk much at the concert i went to either but still..... what an amazing show!!!!!

>>By muse junkie   (Monday, 6 Dec 2004 05:49)

Nah, they dont tend to talk to the audience much, they say the odd thank yous. But at v they had a lil chat introducing Morgan Nicholls, the stand in bassist whilst Chris had a broken wrist or sumthin, but nah, they dont talk much in shows. But the musics amazing!!!

>>By devon_girl   (Monday, 6 Dec 2004 21:44)

wow!!! the concert was amazzzzzzzzing!!!! they did the big white balloon thing and matt chucked his guitar into the audience. So sum lucky bugger has got one of matt bellamy's guitars! They were soooooo good, and if anyone gets the chance to see them live, take it! cos they r amazing, words cannot describe!

>>By devon_girl   (Monday, 20 Dec 2004 15:59)

oh wow that sounds amazing devon_girl! your so lucky

I just found out that the venue/bar thing that i go to almost every weekend (The Cavern) is where Muse did their first EVER gig! I'm suddenly filled with pride haha.

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Monday, 20 Dec 2004 18:18)

>wow!!! the concert was amazzzzzzzzing!!!!

Damn straight! I was there after all! :) The person I went with fainted, got trampled on and got dragged out before the end. And didn't care. It was that good.

>>By Flagg   (Tuesday, 21 Dec 2004 21:09)

I've seen them live last year in Turin. Great gig (Matt's skills are amazing) I loved the video projections on the background, usually they're quite pointless but in this case they were perfect to come along with the songs.
At the end of the gig Matt threw his guitar but he hit his drummer on his head.... it's been comical (he didn't get hurt -well not that much lol)

>>By ZoT   (Wednesday, 22 Dec 2004 13:57)

Hey Flagg, did u go to one of the earls court gigs? which one the 19th december or 20th? I went 19th! It was soooooooooo good! Seriously tho they must be one of the best bands live, if not the best!!!

>>By devon_girl   (Wednesday, 22 Dec 2004 14:13)

Yeh their first gigs were at the cavern, i heard that too!
