yeah... its so stupid... and like when they say its bam sign, and i say its HIM sign, then they are like "who is HIM???" ... or even better "yeah, HIM rock, i know bam loves them" ... "so whats your favorite song" ... "dunno, i still havent heard much... but the fast one from the bams show is good!!!"

well if theyre all like "oooh who is HIM" or havent heard much of HIM then LET THEM HEAR SOME! maybe then, they can become HIM fans too...theyve got to hear it somewhere! so educate them!!!!!

hi im new to the forum also but i agree with idontknow... alot of ppl get into HIM thru bam and stuff but if they've not really heard much of theyre stuff play it to them!! it dosnt really matter how u get in2 a band as long as u like the music so play them the music and spread the word (or sound) of HIM.
then again it really annoys me when people only like a band cos theyre hero or someone they think is fit (i.e Bam) likes them. like HIM because u like them not because some1 else does.

lol Bam actually has or had a band "gnar kill" (cky play gnar kill in the film haggard-i love that film wot do u guys think?) with jess and brandon from jackass (rite?) so wenever any1 goes on about "Bam's band" im like o rite Gnar Kill? their looks of confusion are sooo funny.

oh yeah , he does , hhe looks funny too is face gets all crunched togethed when he sings really high or really low , its great to watch , and Bam has made HIM more widespread but still hes messed things up

usually when people say "bam's band" theyre talking about CKY (who jess, bam's brother is the drummer of)....Gnarkill was something brandon, bam, and chad i think did in bam's basement just for fun....not a real band or anything... yeah and i imagine (with the it's all tears deal) he sings it low, but not as low as it is on the cd... haha yeah his face all scrunches up when he sings high :) its adorable! haha

I've heard that Evanescence is just a lame copy of the band called Nightwish, which is actually from Finland too.. weird... though Nightwish isn't known in US, more like in Europe... but they are much better than Evanescence. If Linkin Park and Gathering (some of you metal-gurus might now that band) had a baby that would be Evanescence...
I'm sorry for you all E-fans but I don't feel the same.

Uh, no - Evanescence are entirely original and their music is much rawer than Nightwish, which is fairly well arranged but it's only for pussies who like stuff like HIM... and think the Rasmus is too hard. Compared to Evanescence, HIM are really sucky. I think they just have appeal because of Ville Valo... and they got a load of fame from the Rasmus, rather than the other way around. It's HIM fans claiming that the Rasmus got their fame from HIM, when in fact they got it from the popular success of In the Shadows (which they deserved), which made HIM more famous recently. That and the fact that they are currently selling out.

I agree Amy Lee has a really good voice and she's doing what she wants which i respect but its not really my thing
I heard of HIM ages before the Rasmus suddenly popped up in the charts hmmm

YEAH my sister was there:( my sisters friend was crying because her favorite band is the rasmus...the sad thing about them getting booed off reading was that they TOOK IT WELL they were just like "thank you bye!" and fifty cent on the other hand (no offence to you half dolla fans) started throwing stuff back at the crowd :( lets drop the evanescense convo or take it to the evanescese board....this is to talk about him and yes i realize most of this post was talking about the rasmus.... lets change it to him shall we? yeah i heard of him before i heard of bam/cky/rasmus/nightwish/finland i didnt even know they were finnish and no him actually did help out the rasmus a lot...they helped introduce them to the rest of europe....in the shadows happened to be a very good, catchy song that other people acknowledged, but then some dumbass caught wind of it and stuck it on the charts! ....

I know they don't appreciate their popularity fully, because they didn't want to be that popular, but I'm glad so many people like it. In the Shadows is an actual GOOD song that gets played on the radio a lot, which is a relief from Britney Spears and all of these other pop weirdos. Anyway, ever since it was released, more people who listen to pop music (which obviously makes up the majority of the population because their music gets played on the radio more and it's POPULAR) started listening to Finnish music, particularly HIM. The "hard core" HIM fans (most of the people on this discussion board who like HIM), I acknowlegde as having liked HIM before In the Shadows was released, but most HIM fans are skaters and so on who listen to HIM because they're Finnish or because Bam likes them.
