As far as I can tell this is still a music discussion board, not a place where you go around insulting or adoring and licking band members...
Wanting to jump in to a bus that drives 500 miles an hour is sick, not knowing the title of a HIM song is human. I actually don't know all the titles of my favorite artists (in fact I am happy when I remember the names of the records).
Well, bought a record of a great band today. The last record of the old singer of the Godmachine, not that I expectyou to know them, but that was a greatband, and so is the new work of robin propper sheppard with his new band. So now all run out of yourlittle computer rooms all covered with the wanna be jim morrison and go listen to SOPHIA..
That's real emotion, power and pain... When you wanna hear someone suffer, listen to any record of the Godmachine or Sophia, and then tell me if HIM (or any other band) is stil your favorite band....
Maybe I could lie and say, that everything's oke.........

yeah, I just think it's kinda weird that someone would really get that angry over someones opinion on a band and the lead singer. I mean it's just an opinion, everyone has their own.

to janne....hey its your sweet 666 godess....i dont describe HIM as a gothic band and i dont describe myself as a gothic person...its other ppl tht believe that...i dont believe in satan!!!...i find it all interesting tho....i listen to HIM because i think they are an amzing band and their songs enchant me...they are just so beautiful....plus they are just so...wots the word???...i cant remember the word but...its got something to do with mysterious!
i didnt actually some on this site to bitch at ppl...but i dont think that it is right for people to some on a HIM page and bitch bout ville and the band.

are him pages... This is a music board with different subcatogories, which is not the same as a HIMpage.... So as long as we are discussing music on this board (discussing is having opposing opinions, and trying to explain them to eachother or trying to convince the other) there shouldn'tbe any problem.... Discussing is not kissing up on bands, nor bitching on somebody because he or she has another opinion then you do.....!

So i read bible, and what should "the beast" be... i can guess how hard it is for you too actually understand bible, but you could at least try and think what you are talking about.
Well, me personally don't think they're gothic or dark, but i like them more than many other bands i listen to.. and there are many. And then again, there is no exactly definiton of gothic, or there are too many... and labeling stuff is stupid, you just listen what you like and shouldn't care what others listen

I agrre with campking, the boards aren't just for fans. They are open to anyone with an opinion and each has their own and people should respect others opinions the way they'd want theirs to be respected

But unfotunately these "others" are usually people, who write more than they know and discussing with them is really hard... Just read some of past adds (f.e. Metallica against HIM on 17.)... Some of them just want to pick a quarrel with ANYONE. Of c not all of them, we all should have different opinions about HIM - "I love them I love them Did I say that I love them" can be booring ;o)

i read somewhere that gothic music is more agressive i mean instrumantaly and him is not so agressive i wonder who said that him are ghotic cause i have friends musicians and they say him sounds more like rock pop

HIM doesnt't consider them gothic, ville said in some interview something like "we are just bunch of rockers...". Well, the question wasn't if they are gothic, but something else, but that is what he said.
And gothic music can be hard, but it can be very similar to emo. and it can be almost like pop (beside dance part, gothic music doesn't do that) , but the difference is in lyrics cause you can't hear justin singing something like "i'm your christ to die on you..."
