broken is the songs name. amys still writing for the album. the reason they did a vid for "everybody's fool" is because they need more time to finish it. they'll probally come out with anutha vid before but they're not sure yet. amy's taking her ''sweet-ass time'', the bands stallin'.

The video for Everybody's Fool is REALLY sucky. They should have done something which totally took the piss out of Avril.

I personally think, Everybody's Fool was he best video yet , I went to see her in concert, last week, man was that the best concert I have ever been to, shes amazing on stage, it was well worth the money.

wow i see all these things that people wrote on here like: " Amy Lee is a true goddess" well the fact is that Evanscene is a whole band and not just about her, and the sad part is that well frankly they suck....sadly enuff people actually think theyre good but hey who am i to judge, rite? NOT!!!! i judged and surely enuff some stupid person is gonna come on here and try to tell me off, but who cares....lol!!!

Seether is a good band and Shaun Morgan does tend to make some funny faces but he sounds awesome. Evanescence is also a WHOLE band, but Amy Lee is a very soulful and good singer. They are altogether good and I'm hoping their next and 3rd album is just as good.

Well, Amy Lee is a good vocalist, she reminds me of Kurt Cobain in the way she is able to use her voice to suit the music. She doesn't just sing with the same voice all the time, she is able to change her timbre. The rest of the band is...interesting. They can be good, they can suck. The fact is, though, that the band plays well togeather. They are a tight, well adjusted band and as long as Amy Lee can keep up the vocals, they will continue to be popular.

Ok, don't pay much attention to my devestating comments. Try to see it as a matter of taste; but what is so special about Evenescence? For me their songs just sound like popsongs with some hard guitars put over it so it sounds more "metal" The rhythms are so simple, even I can play it. And then Amy Lee. I have nothing against her personally, but she's just not the right singer for this genre. Her voice belongs defenitly in the popscene. If you want to hear real good gothic, try Lacrimosa, Sirenia or Therion. I don't know exactly how to label Evanescence, but I think it's pop with some gothic/rock influences.

Waddinxslayer, I agree that they are a bit poppy, but is that really a bad thing? Notice that throughout your comment, you fail to say whether or not you like the band except for "simple rhythm", which nearly every rock and rock offshoot has had since the Beatles. And yes I know that there are a lot of counter-examples, but by and large, it's all been in 4/4 time with the stress on 2 and 4. As for fitting them in a genre, why? Just listen to their music and don't worry whether they're metal, rock, gothic, or pop, or whatever.
