How come Origin is not available for sale anymore? It's actually a really good album. "Where Will You Go" and "Lies" are standout tracks

That new (?) song "Missing".... I heard that today and it was sooo lame. I'm sorry, don't wanna insult anyone but oh please, there's already The Gathering, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish and Within Temptations.... Evanescence is a boring copy of them. I'm sorry, that's just my opinion.

Well, frankly I'm sick of hearing people talk about their precious little underground (or not good enough to be internationally recognised, you decide) bands that had a similar sounding sound to Evanescence, before Evanescence came out (or whatever). Lacuna Coil; have I heard of them? No. Do I care about them? Not really. Would I like them? Maybe.

But comparing bands is silly. That's like saying Metallica is boring copy of Black Sabbath and Motorhead etc.

By your inference, there should only be one band in each genre of music. One metal band, one rock band, one pop group, one r&b group et al -- and noone, past or present is allowed to sound anything like them, else they be struck down by the Carti police.

all i know is evanescence is an amazing rock band. amy lee may be the face of evanescence but that doesn't give anybody the right to automatically say mean things about her especially the band. maybe the others just dont want the attention that she gats which is very understandable.
evanescence are huge because they have good music thats real, just because your a fan of a band that sounds like them doesn't mean you should bash em. dissing evanescence wont make your fave bands any more known or good.
and quit comparing avril and amy. avril is a twinkie compared to amy. amy's lyrics actually mean something, and avrils? who knows! avril can't hit the notes amy can. it just pisses me off! dont get me wrong i like avril but this is just stupid!

I like Evanescence. Infact Evanescence is the only Nu Metal band I like. I think that their music is well written, especially the lyrics.

sorry i dont like them... dont get me wrong their music is good i have thier albums but i saw them at download 2007 and it was disgraceful!..and thats being nice about it i have never once left part way through the set of a band i liked. Its one thing to make a good album but to be able to perform it is something else, its the performance that puts you above the rest, do you think the likes of sabbath and maiden would have gotten where they are if they sucked live? i very much doubt it...Now lacuna coil are immense live! But evanescence just cant carry a crowd that big... or at least amy lee cant.... not yet anyway.. maybe in time she will... maybe she should try not getting hammered beforehand until shes capable of handling such a big crowd. Their live performance really ruined thier music for me.

Like i said though... maybe with time.

yeah,they should just be so much better and aren't, i don't think amy's voice is all that good.
