I really like Evanescence.
Their songs just have this awesome feel to them.
I write songs myself.....make that, I write whatever's going around my head, whether it happens to be narrative, poem or song.
Sometimes I just write and it changes into whatever it wants to be.
I am in the school choir and I consider myself to have an "allright" voice.
It needs some work, but i'm not saying I'm a terrible singer.
Amy has a really wide range. My range is two octaves.
Amy's is wider.
I would like to sing like her one day. I have never heard Amy sing live, but I'm sure it would sound okay.

Haha, hers is probably a lot wider. Having a wide range doesn't make you a brilliant singer though. Mine is almost 10 octaves, but I don't exactly sound GOOD. I understand what you mean about the writing though. When I write stuff, it's rarely what I expected it to be from the beginning. It usually works out really well though.

I didn't know that, but I knew she wasn't with Ben. That's surely not why he left the group though. He left because Amy was taking over.

thats not why he left. his heart wasn't in. ben's a jerk for just leaving. him and amy used to be friends. but i think evanescence's sound will change a bit because ben gave them a more gothic sound.

No, Amy gave them a more Gothic sound. Ben gave them a more progressive rock sound. I think a lot of guys would have left rather than have to see Amy become what she's become, especially after being such close friends. She's a total bitch, but I love bitches, hence the reason I like Avril. The band is Amy and Ben's baby, and maybe a good father would have stuck around rather than let the mother abuse the child, but a lot of guys just run away.
Yeah, you can read just about anything in random places these days. Some idiot on the Good Charlotte discussion board is telling everyone that Benji Madden is gay. He probably is, but it's worthless information that nobody wants to hear. I recall sitting in a Chinese take-away and reading about Ben leaving and I was quite shocked by rather a lot of things I read in that magazine... Oh well, many things are informative, but few of them are actually true. However, false information is almost as valuable as the truth these days.

honestly i didnt really like evanesence when i first heard "Bring me to Life" the original w/out that 12 stones guy... but after listening to a few other songs i realized she has an enormous amount of talent... which seems to be covered by her emotional issues... ahh females are so vulnerable like that... but hey motivation MUST come from somewhere...
