| Discussion: Linkin Park eatengold: Yeah, I have a lot of free time. Hence the reason I make so many posts... I actually found time to put my 25 favourite bands in order. When I got bored I wrote down my 200 favourite songs. I think "By Myself" was #7. That's following songs by Coldplay, System of a Down and Rammstein. Anyway, I first got into Linkin Park after Meteora came out. I was just cleaning the CDs in work (don't mock me for my terrible job), when I spotted "Faint". Previously I'd associated Linkin Park with Limp Bizkit, a despicable band. I'd only heard a couple of songs before, since I don't listen to the radio or watch MTV. I'd enjoyed "Crawling" and "By Myself", so I bought "Faint" the single because it was only £2. I enjoyed it and the B-sides as well, so I bought both of the albums. Now I love them. The point is that I've never felt the experience of awaiting a new Linkin Park album, soon to come out. Does anyone know when they'll release their third album (not including Hybrid Theory EP, Reanimation and Live in Texas)? >>By Sk8a H8a well ok then >>By therion i was into their music when i was MUCH much younger and didnt know very much. easy to associate the two cause they caught the public's interest round abt the same time. but enuf said. i grew up and found out they didnt exactly evolve sound-wise. so, that was it. >>By eatengold Well, a lot of bands don't evolve and get criticised for that. But then, many bands have moved on and been criticised for not sticking to their roots. Either way, you can't win. I don't care if they change or not. Every band sounds the same, because they all have their own style and it recurs a lot in their songs - in any band's songs. They changed and loads of people hate them for it. Linkin Park's songs are varied, but of the same style. Look on the Metallica discussion board and you'll see what people have said about St. Anger. Meh. Linkin Park are awesome, but has anyone noticed how almost all of the songs fit in with the bridge in Numb? Try singing "I've become so numb" immediately after anything else by Linkin Park, if you haven't already... Well, i'm LP's fan. l like their attitude towards their fans, they give so much attention to the fans which are important to them. To some people LP's songs may seem the same, i see the difference between each song, the songs are very beautifull and creative. Everybody have the right to say whatever they want, even if it means insulting, disrespecting and etc. Some say that LP's fans or even people who listen to them are idiots and dumbasses... well, i think that if you knew me better you wouldn't say such things... You say this just to get on the nerves... You can't judge a person by the music this person listens to.. I'm sorry, i can't change anybody's opinion about me, however... i can express my opinion... Has anybody heard any songs by his old band, Grey Daze? They are AWESOME.
