The White Stripes
Forum
I haven't liked MTV for about 5/6 years, everytime I turn it on it's some crummy show or teeny bopper videos. If I watch music videos on tv I usually watch much music,mtv2,or vh1 classic(lot's of old rock on there, some of it's older than me but I love it).If the White Stripes were on trl and super popular maybe that would mean a change in mainstream culture-----maybe I would like more people then. The people I get along with don't listen to any of the junk on trl, maybe it will change in the future I remember when NSYNC and that stuff would have never been so popular.

I heard that the vocals in Danger! High Voltage by Electric Six are Jack. That really is awesome. However, I also heard that the saxophone is Bill Clinton, so maybe it isn't true.

Try this for a first step in the understanding of De Stijl..
You might also understand the name "The White Stripes" and their "cubicle" way of playing... Maybe square is a better word...

Ok.Let's get one thing straight! They ARE a good band.A very good band indeed.I like the way they bring their blues, country(folk?),garage and Led Zep influences into a modern context. They 've got attitude and vast amounds of style. But how, on earth, can their retro sound be hailed as the future of rock 'n' roll?
