Good work! They should have a new record out 2005. I haven't checked their website for a while though.
There really isn't much good music coming out at the moment, is there?

Hmmm.... I was thinking the same thing... It seems to be like every 2 years... For the album-album... No there isn't too much, besides for this awesome awesome band, they only have a studio produced EP... Bad News for the Torosis the band name, and Cath them Fast, Kill the Slow is the EP name... They sent it personally all the way from California...

Yes... Please do... Hmmm... How long do you think that they will be around for...??
>>By Grazyl (Tuesday, 25 Jan 2005 12:59)
Well... Will no one answer this...?!

Who else do you expect to reply?
The Flaming Lips have been around for 20 years, but lead singer Wayne Coyne is the only original member left. So I reckon they may only be around for another 5 years max.....

I love The Flaming Lips. I first got YBTPR, then The Soft Bulletin then Clouds Taste Metallic. I'm working my way down! I used to like The Soft Bulletin alot but Clouds Taste Metallic is on the same level as that album so it might take over as my favourite. Though I do think that The Soft Bulletin has a more emotional sound than Clouds Taste Metallic, overall.

Clouds Taste Metallic is the album in the Flaming Lips that probably grows on you the most. Its also my favourite. Working backwards, you are next in line for Transmissions, Hit To Death, and Priest Driven Ambulance. I envy your position greatly! After (or should I say before) that, the quality drops off somewhat....... but there are still THREE FABULOUS ALBUMS for you to hear!!!! Hang in there.................

I know! :) At the moment my favourite song is 'Christmas At The Zoo'. It's like a very cool kids song, haha. The lyrics are cute.

I know somebody else who thinks that's his favourite too. I don't think I could pick a favourite from Clouds Taste Metallic though......

Me too. It changes now and then, but then I'm like that with all albums.

Anyone seen the Flaming Lips DVD?

New Flaming Lips album out early April. First single The W.A.N.D. seems to combine their guitar-rock base with the experimental electronica of Yoshimi. Aparently, the album is their most diverse yet.
