hey "debucket" (sounds like a real grit whigger), how about showing us some of your non-"pathetic" angry schoolboy poetry, or any of your stuff at all? got anything that doesn't read like marilyn manson taknig a crap?! put up or shut up! actually i think you just screwed up when posting and thought you were on the n'sync page. you probably like some ultra cheese shite like slipknot or phlegminem! you lameass!

I love Floyd, too! But all you who think of them just as a "drug" band are off some. While it's true that legions of their fans have enjoyed their music while "under the influence" of something or another, the band themselves have not been a "druggy" or indulgent group in general. Syd was the acid head. I do not think that is why is in the condition he is now, I think that psychedelics were an escape for him but also affected him as a person sinking into heavy schizophrenia differently than it does most people. Only he knew that at the time, we can only speculate. I love Floyd straight or otherwise. I'm sure that "debucket" and that williams prick NEVVERR did any type of drug themselves. No way, right guys? Hypocrites!

Yeah, I like to think of Pink Floyd as the most successful result of the Beatles' drug music influence... I mean dang.. the beatles took the hit for them.. check out the liner notes on the early Pink Floyd album CDs.. they sound so awesome because the producer was the same guy who worked on all the influential early Beatles albums. The biggest Pink Floyd album, "Dark Side of the Moon", was produced by Alan Parsons, the guy who did the Beatles "Abbey Road" album! Just look at the liner notes in your CD booklets! Took me a while to start reading all that stuff in the CD booklet, but when I did, I started to see the hidden connections and meanings in a lot of this classic rock music

Damn SulfurFury. I just read what you said about Led Zeppelin but now this? These bands are all from the same time. There is no avoiding hearing similarities. Don't compare everything to the Beatles just because they were birthed the great metal of the 80s to today.

>>By hiflydi   (Monday, 23 Feb 2004 12:32)

pink floyd...just the name gives me shivers down my spine makes me want to write insane lyrics/poetry...

Brain Damage...
The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path

The lunatic is in the hall
The lunatics are in my hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

The lunatic is in my head
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

"I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! HaHaHa!" ....those lyrics are insanly awesome... u cant say u dont go in2 some sorta daze or something wierd wen u read not just brain damage, but any of their songs...god, its so insane.

they made the music which has the power to change someone's life.. well they have changed mine .....glamorous..fantastic...unique

Man there is no band I respect or love more. This truly is pure genius, and just listening to it mellows you out so much. My favorite song by them is Shine On You Crazy Diamond.. wow there is so much musical quality and brilliance behind it, and the lyrics are perfect.

>>By RaveOnCaroline   (Tuesday, 9 Mar 2004 23:08)

Most people who say they like Pink Floyd haven't heard anything other than what is played on the radio. They buy the damn Dark Side Of The Moon shirt and then say they are huge fans. I refuse to buy a shirt and become one of "those" people. But damn thier music is awesome. Personally, Marooned blows me away.

Shine on Pink Floyd.

>>By mon   (Monday, 7 Jun 2004 20:06)

Pink Floyd is a great group.
They have a sound like no other and roger waters vocal stylings are unique. They create a different vibe of feeling with every song.
Sometimes it's joy sometimes insanity.(more often isanity than joy)
Any one who doesn't like pink floyd is not listening with the right ears.

Why is it all the crap bands out in the word are devoted 15 pages of mindless ramblings on how good they are when they clearly have no talent. I wish we got bands like Pink Floyd nowadays - well except Radiohead who are by far the best band presently. Even if you don't understand the lyrics, surely you can recognise that the band are one of - if not the - most talented bands ever. Everyone focuses on The Beatles, Genisis and other such bands of that era, but the neglect Pink Floyd - apart from the Dark Side of the Moon which is good, one of their best, but they have better stuff as well. Which is good - the best known album is not always the best. Just like the most popular bands are never very good because they are middle of the road and downright rubbish lyrics about how "this girl/boy is just sooooo hot!" God I hate those songs.

Pink Floyd is one of the deepest, most enigmatic bands I know. Their songs are very well-written.

>>By Obfuscated   (Sunday, 29 Aug 2004 01:36)

Look at this! 3 pages of discussion for Pink Floyd, whilst Ville Valo has 47 pages of stupidity from his utterly pathetic 'fans.' It's an injustice.

>>By Obfuscated   (Tuesday, 31 Aug 2004 01:31)

> It's an injustice.

I'm gonna take my problem to the United Nations.
Well I told my congress man and he said, quote:
"I'd like to help you son but you're too young to vote"

Bloody democrats.

>>By Obfuscated   (Tuesday, 31 Aug 2004 19:18)

I think their best album is The Wall, or MAYBE Atom Heart Mother. Dark Side of the Moon is third... or a Momentary Lapse of Reason. Division Bell is also awesome.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Tuesday, 31 Aug 2004 20:53)

Wish You Were Here is one of my favourites.

>>By Obfuscated   (Wednesday, 1 Sep 2004 01:05)

Pink Floyd's best album is Dark Side of the Moon....creatively, theoretically, musically, lyrically Pink Floyd was at their best...irrefutable....you can't say no to 13 years (or something retarded like that) on the billboard chart...fuck
after dark side has gotta be Animals...no...Meddle...no...Wish You Were Here
yeah Wish You Were Here...i guess it has to be this one given that Pink Floyd had the unenviable task of making an album to follow Dark Side and came up with what they did....great album...three of their best songs wrapped in another....extra points for Have a Cigar....great song to have sex to :)~

what about everyone else? i love talking about this shit....

>>By guitar_solo   (Monday, 6 Sep 2004 18:36)

I love Pink Floyd!!

Their music is so cool!!

They have that cool Progressive Rock sound which is awesome... And the Bass line on "Money" is so genious...

>>By Grazyl   (Thursday, 16 Sep 2004 13:00)
