And why do u have to seperate LinkinPark to Chaz, Mike, Rob and others... Aren't the music and lyrics and their creations that matter?
I heard GreyDaze and yeah they great too... Not because Chaz was there, but cause of the songs! Now that Chaz not there the band changed its name, something "Water..." ... Don't remember.....

Grey Daze are really hard to find. Considering they've changed their name now (amazing, considering they could have been more famous because of their association with Chester), their new stuff will be even harder to get hold of. Definitely worth it though. They rock. Not just because of the amazing vocals (Chester's voice has evolved over the years though), but also because the songs are awesome.

Haha, people have given up on dissing Linkin Park now though. That's cool, although it would be nice to have some insults so we can counter them with the truth. The song "My December" is so perfect - it gives me a rush of blood to the head.

FINALLY ppl who actually know about "my december"!!! it's pretty pathetic that at their last concert when they played that song nobody knew the friggin lyrics!!!! so annoying!!!
however it's tru that only real fans realize that LP have their own sound and should not be categorized, no band should be categorized....
but um... about mike... well let's just say that i have a pretty funny piccy of him "excited" that i got when i was at the concert.... it was an accident though that i got the pic

Evanescenes has pretty nice songs, but i wouldn't compare it to LinkinPark. Different people, different tastes, different topics. That's what i think.

Actually, I think some Evanescence guitar lines are similar to those in Linkin Park songs. Have a more careful listen to both bands.

I dont really think evanescence and LP are that similar, i get bored of evanescence quite quickly but i can never get bored of LP they are one of my favourite bands.

What is it about LP that makes them so great? To me they sound like a mixture of evanescence, Alanis Morissette and a whole lot of crashing. (Although come to think of it, thats not neccaserily a bad thing).

LinkinPark has many sounds... heavy, fast, slow whatever you want. You can't define LP's sound.

I adore linkin park their really good - i saw them live at wembley and they were so brilliant. Lostprophets were there 2 but they rnt anywhere near as good as Linkin Park.

Evenescance probably sound similar because they use a similarly huge sonic landscape with thier riffs.
It is a good kind of sound, because it makes you sit up and say Ooooh! Thats BIG!
Their lyrics are perfect, especialy some of their less known stuff, like my December or Its Going Down.
I love those songs!
It is a very hard worked sound, and they deserve good fans.
And who was it who said their dancing is all just camera work?
THEY ARE A ROCK BAND!!!
Rock bands DONT dance.
whoever got the idea into their head that they danced is obiously ill.
I mean, they don't even LOOK like they're dancing!
And their voices are not done on a computer.
They stand in a recording studio for days untill they get the EXACT sound they want for their songs. That includes lyrics, singing, riffs, drums... the whole lot.
And I think that what people say about REANIMATION is wrong.
They made that album for the sake of hearing what other people would do in their position. You know, how they would have made the songs.
And who was the lucky sod who talked to them on the phone?
That ROCKS!

But I wouldn't recommend Somewhere I belong...

LIT is great.... When i first watched it, i couldn't move. It was so powerful.
Place For My Head was huge. So was Lying From Fou.
They did a great concert.

it's kinda scary, the similarities btw LP and Evan... but still both rule, anyways, i didnt think Live in Texas was all that great... I mean it was all songs that we've heard b4 ( no underground shit) it was just another DVD (although i did enjoy watchin them =P ) it's just that i can't get over my piccy of mike
