Avril does have permanent musicians, but they don't write the songs. Unlike Ville, she doesn't have the cheek to pretend that her guitarist, bassist and drummer are actually part of a "band". If HIM really are a proper band, why is it only Ville who appears on the album covers?
I have nothing against the music because it's reasonably good, but Ville is such a poser. And why is everyone so obsessed with Finland? Just because of HIM, almost everyone previously mediocre Scandinavian band has become mainstream lately. That's racism...

ugh flake 1.6, ville is the only one that appears on the album covers because it looks good....avril CHOOSES not to have a band name (though she could if she wanted to) him CHOOSE to have a band name!! why dont you go talk to the dave matthews band? theyre called the DAVE MATTHEWS band......if you get a picture of most bands without the front man/woman, it is considerably harder to identify the band and you have to admit, unless the band is one of your favorites, you don't normally know the other band members' names....for instance, i don't like the rasmus very much, so i know the lead singers name (lauri something) but thats it....i'm not saying this goes for ALL bands just MOST...i bet this makes no sense....
every band has a frontman or woman, and some just happen to be identified more...

have you ever seen any decent album with whole band on it?? and ville definately looks better on his covers then avril lying on floor on cover of her album... shes just too ugly and she sings too bad... and yeah, her songs writen in cooperation with real song writers shouldnt be refered to as "her"

there are so many reasons to fight about exept rock music!!!

tough avril is kind of "punk" and HIM kind of..."love metal"....
and both are not really heavy metal...
now don't get me wrong....
HIM were are and they'll always be my favourite band!

him are not love metal ... that doesnt exist!!! ,... i mean, theyre not even metal...i dont have problems admiting i like mainstream band, and that theyre industrial rock... i know that sucks, but theyre best mainstream band... :D

well, "love metal" would mean they are metal, and theyre not... and i know metal bands that sing love songs and they are just called metal! ... so im like... what the hell is love metal??? HIM sing the same type of music that frostburn, sentenced and bands like that do, and all of them are industrial rock... but dont get me wrong, HIM are still my favorite band!

right I get what you mean, it amuses me that they win all these awards like the golden gods and are in the metal magazines too. when they are so different from the other bands, who often all sound alike.

Umm... HIM kind of made the term "love metal" so... hey, they haven't done a song about anything else than love and relationshiTs! Imagine them singing about driving a car in the pouring rain or buying a sweet bottle of vodka or whatever...

Flake i dont no you or have anything against you but saying ville valo pretends to have a perminent band has to be one of the stopidest things i have ever heard!!, just because you see valo more than the band doesent mean anything, and shity english magazines like kerrang and metal hammer are desperate for sales and we all no girls are obsessed with ville valo (no offense) so there hardly going to put gas or burton at the front of a magazinge (athough i think it would be more fair) but hey, who am i to say, i aint their manager, and ville aint no poser, he always dressed like that even back in the gl666 days, he prob just looks like one now because HIM are mainstream.

i dont know if youre talkign about same thing, but i have on my computer in .jpg format some pictures from articles in some magasine and ville won the best hunk of the year, him are best live band... and i think theyre 1st best band, or theyre 2nd and iron maiden first... cant remember it right now... anyway.s... its cool :D

daaaaaamnn its a monthly magazine right? i think the HIM one was the september issue.... not sure if you can find it anymore!! keep looking though, you never know :) haha i love the artwork on deep shadows! hahah i LOVE the picture of the band in the sleeve, ville looksl ike he's showing off his bitches hahaha its my second favorite album :) (under razorblade romance of course)
