You do realise there's a DVD with it? I'd recommend it anyway - the DVD is awesome, especially if you find Ville Valo really attractive.

i think you will find that HIM have changed a little. Most of you have got 'And love said no', but if you compare the old songs on there to their original album (i.e 'greatest love songs') they do sound very different. the original version will sound alot more heavy metal compared to the rock/ metal new version.
and yes, Blink have changed alot (FOR THE WORSE!!!) so i'm hoping that bands will notice this change and realise they shouldn't just change to appeal to a larger audience, as they will lose their originality and most likely their longest fans.

Okaeey, so maybe I should check out some of their older stuff. I'm kinda broke at the moment though, so what songs would you suggest downloading that don't sound like the stuff on And Love Said No?
>>By Sk8a H8a (Saturday, 19 Jun 2004 01:49)
y dont u just download the whole and love said no cd? thats what i've done since i've been broke (dun worrie ppl im goin to buy the cd next week (hopefully))
>>By Cookie8Monster (Saturday, 19 Jun 2004 02:20)
you are very right, i have all their albums (apart from and love said no) and if you listen to two tracks or so on each album you will notice that they have slowly become less heavy....if thats the right way to put it oh yeah and i saw HIM Band Diary on scuzz and it rules!! and i cant download anything cuz my c omputer sucks :(
>>By idontknowdotcom23 (Saturday, 19 Jun 2004 12:28)
I already have And Love Said No! So downloading that would be completely pointless... I want to know songs that sound DIFFERENT to those. Which ones are really different? I think slowly becoming less heavy is not a big enough change for me. Deeper lyrics would help, as would a change in drum beats, bass lines and guitar riffs - maybe some more original chords or whatever. And whoever said love metal had to be so depressing?
>>By Sk8a H8a (Saturday, 19 Jun 2004 17:10)
ok... i'm going to fetch my cd and list all the songs that do sound less heavy or have changed beat or whatever. so i'll be back in a min

HIM is the best band ever they have awsome lyrics and great guitar and drums
>>By manson_is_sexy (Saturday, 19 Jun 2004 17:59)
ok... so here we go.
you need to look for the 'greatest lovesongs vol. 666' cd you can more or less download the whole of that, or look for ...
*your sweet six six six *Wicked Game = drum beat + bass + guitar Change!!!! these two you will be able to compare with 'And love said no' but the other songs which aren't used on 'And love said no' are obviously going to sound different. these are...
*the heartless *Our Diabolikal rapture *Its all tears *When love and death embrace *The beginning of the end *The reaper *For you
and thats your lot
hope that helps a bit.... but you have to go out and buy the cd to be able to see the differences that i'm talking about
xXx

>>By idontknowdotcom23 (Monday, 21 Jun 2004 20:41)
