oh, and also good punk bands aren't in it for the money to quote a song "...music created from devotion, not ambition, not for fans..."

>>By nosupremists   (Saturday, 11 Oct 2003 17:59)

here is a quote from the band anti flag which expresses my point on not being afraid of threats to punk-rock perfectly I found this just after saying what I did and thought it was too perfect
Question from: Derek in MN
I've heard many rumors about this question...so how do you guys feel about the new wave of pop-punk bands?

(this answer is from A-F themselves)

Answer: We don't really have any problem with them. Fads come and go. All that really matters is how many kids stay with punk rock.
If 100 kids start listening to Good Charlotte, 20 of them might dig deeper and start listening to other bands like Offspring & bands on Nitro records, NOFX & Fat Wreck bands, or Bad Religion & Epitaph bands...the Bouncing Souls and the bands on Chunksaah, and may dig deeper and find Anti-Flag and the bands on A-F Records.
And they might think "Hey...I like the punk that isn't on the radio just as much if not moreso!". And in the end punk rock has come out on top again!

Just remember, fads come and go and yeah they suck. But what really matters is the kids who find something in punk rock that speaks to their souls. These kids stick with it and form the next generation of punk rock bands and future scenes.
to Gary Destruction: you are an idiot, obviously the casualties are rich and famous so why not buy whatever the hell they want? trying to say what they can and cannot buy is just setting an example for what all punk rock is about. You are being a fascist communist and not realizing that the only way this country works to the extent that it does is it's economy. Rich people buying $65 pants is what makes the economy work and what provides you with food in your cubboard and a fucking roof over your head! stop trying to destroy waht you know fucking nothing about. Furthermore who the fuck cares about threats to punk rock as long as you go to concerts, buy CD's and in any way support the bands that are still out there the punk rock scene will keep on thriving. You can do your part by getting other people to start liking punk rock and not turning into a poser yourself. If you're scared of "threats" to punk rock then you should get a life and get some faith for what you believe in. Stay a punk and punk will never be dead...even if you're the only one out there.
You don't know what you're talking about. The casualties lie by saying that they have no money and that they're not rich rock and roll stars. How hard is that to understand? And when confronted on the subject, they blow off their fans. You know why? It's because they can't handle the truth. They can't handle people seeing through their lies. And I'm not a fascist or a communist, you cretin. You're the one that listens to anti-flag, who are leftist twits. And I fail to see how a pair of $65 bondage pants puts a roof over my head. Perhaps if you weren't so dense, you might get what I'm saying.

And I don't need some goddamn kid to preach to me. Take your words and shove em up your ass sideways. Have fun buying your anti-capitalist t-shirts at hot topic.

>>By Gary Destruction   (Saturday, 27 Dec 2003 10:18)

Oh and I fail to see how anyone could justify paying $65 for a pair of bondage pants. That's no better than Tommy Hilfiger and abercrombie and bitch and all that other shit. Ever heard of DIY as in Do It Yourself?

Send all hatemail to unix_based_punk@prodigy.net I'd rather be hated than ignored.

I hate The Casualties. Punk pride and fashion gets old after a while. They need to speak of real issues.

>>By Goatt   (Friday, 2 Jan 2004 06:33)

yeah ... the only thing they talk about is drinking..and unity..and obviously they're hypocrits when it comes to the whole unity thing

The Casualties are the sickest fucking band ever. They have the koolest shows and music. Just because they are at hot topic and getting more popular doesn't mean they suck. You suck if you say that. The casualties are my favorite band and always will be. "Fuck you all" and "25 years too late" are my favorite songs. I agree there old shit is way better! I hope there new cd(casualty army) is better than Die Hards!......UP THE PUNX!!!........BITCH!!!!

I started reading,i got to page 3 and i couldn't bare all that stupid shit some of ya wrote.i came to visit this site because i wanted to know what people really think about the casualties.before i came here i didn't know that casualties has something to do with MTV,if they do tho,it makes me sad because that makes them hypocrats,if u really listen to their songs(ex.two faced).punk is not about fame or becoming rich.that's sellout if u ask me.punk was never about money on other side it stood against the power that money have.the power to control people.but that's not why i don't support the casualties in what they do.the thing is,i can't say i agree with casualties songs, their messages about punk and the whole hate and fuck off thing.i think we should stand together, not only punx, skins but all people out there.stand together to make change in the world.by singing kill hippies, kill crust u won't change anything, hippes are not the reason we are in this shit.the reason is us people,it's up to us to change and it's up to us make a stand against our government which we daily support.by complainign we will never solve anything,it's the actions that makes difference.to me punk was never about chaoss, destruction, hate and vioelence.if punk stood for what casualties believe in i would never became one.i become one, because i wanted change, positive change in the world.i was tired of the ingorance of the people, the way they lived their lives, thinking we are civilized humans fighting for the better world, while we were just destroying it.punk is not about being hardcore or about the way u dress.it's they way u think, live, breath.it's something more then just patch on your clothes or the music u listen to.it's something more then just complaining and singing about how bad is everything,it was time to do something.and the one who proved it was CRASS.yeah,u can think right now "goddamn hippie" or whatever u think.go ahead,i still don't understand what anybody ever had against the hippies.they were only drugheads?bullshit, there was so much behind hippies then just drugs.by sipmly putting them all in one group u are just discriminating them.u can tell me to fuck off or ask me why did i even come here, but it's my freedom to say my opinion so here it is,if u like or u not.crass were the ones who lived by what they sang.they didn't just complain about government they were attacking it.they never stood for violence and hate and they did more then any of ya haters, macho man, hardcore punx or whatever u wanna call yourself.why would anyone of you want to change something that's fucked up(this society) to something even worst (choass)?think twice....i mean u can just straight forget about being punk and follow the society which leads us to it.oh,yeah,i also read some smartass wrote"u can do more damage inside the system then outside of it".where did u hear that?in your grat movie SLC punk?it's the system that does the damage,u became part of system, part of this society, then u will just blindly support it.how was the guy in the movie doing damage in the system by going to lawschool?to become a corrupted layer?to me the whole movie was made just to show to people why not to become a punk and how uselles and pointless are out beliefs.yeah,we figh for chaos and who loves is poser and we beat the shit out of each other on gigs, bunch of crap.
i would like to discuss this with people who really have to say something about it....
Anarchy and Peace

i think that the change the casualties went through was mostly done by the fans... one rumor leads to another, and then you got this whole contreversy. i dont know, i may be wrong. thats just what i think.

alright...... i havnt heard one casualtie song on mtv so they cant be selling out, its hot topic we should all blame hot topic, because all these trendy conformists go in there look at there cd see that they have a mohawk and befor you know it the casualties is spread around the us (with no enthusiasm) the new casualties sucks, but die hards was fuckin awsome!

>>By i hate nicknames   (Sunday, 18 Apr 2004 20:05)

Let me clarify something once and for all. I respect the casualties as a band and I respect what they've done for punk rock. But for them to say that they're poor is a load of bs.

>>By Gary Destruction   (Friday, 23 Apr 2004 10:46)

haha....chaos punx and anti flag gonna sing together at warped tour...bunch of fucken bullshit, once again, street punk sold out.but yeah,u can't hate everyone forever, can u?---;)

>>By LiveForChange   (Saturday, 24 Apr 2004 06:47)

Dude, who the hell cares about this shit you people write?

Real punk fans aren't wasting their time on the fucking internet preaching to everyone about what punk is.

The Casualties are a great band. They got brains beneath that hair, and they don't waste all their time talkin shit like you fuckers.

>>By Jonny   (Saturday, 15 May 2004 09:13)

Nonsupremist knows what he's talkin about.

>>By Jonny   (Saturday, 15 May 2004 09:14)

the casualties are sellin out not of their own will but because they are very trendable. I hope they swich record companise and change their name. it will be totall better. their new cd takes a step in the hippocratic direction. to many fucking kids are wearing casualties shit and buying the cds. my second favorite band is nearlly a sellout ( iconsider NOFX and rancid sellout)

>>By Real Die Hard   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 03:04)

put HOT TOPIC out of business

it's ruinning every thing for us REAL PUNX

>>By Real Die Hard   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 03:06)

jonny

maybe i would say the same if they actually did what they sing about.not because i ever really liked them but just because they would actually be true and honest about what they feel and how they live.but it's one thing to believe in something and other thing to follow your beliefs.in their case it's just empty singing for cash and fame which doesn't mean anything anymore.it's like do what we say not what we do.and u tell us that we waste our time writting bull, but u do the same.--;)

NOFX SUX,RANCID SUX,CASUALTIES SUX.....PUNX LIVES.
