LOTR references are prevelant. ie. 'Misty Mountain's'. Yes they were great, and ahead of their time. No other band can or will come close to the depth and breadth Zep had. Music has changed. Times have changed. Zep created something that was not yet there, but still stands unchallenged. There will be few 'pop' songs that are being played today that will become classics in twenty or thirty years time. There will be few 'pop' songs that are being played today that will be relevant in twenty or thirty years time. Zeppelin transcend time - they were from another era, an era long before the twentieth century, and time's erosive rot will not dilute or still their magic. They remain now and forever. Take heed and forget not.

I agree with rock ya, but he or she's a alittle screwy, anyway's Their isn't a band out their now, or for the past twenty five years or so that put the kind of music that Zep has, They have more songs out their ,playing on classic rock channels than the other bands (Stone's, Beatle's, Who) Because Jp's Quitar is light year's ahead of Kieth R., George H., or Pete T., He has all his base's covered, Mandoline, Slide Quitar, Accoustic Q. and many others, and can put them into a song, and make it a smash! John paul Jones bass playing is awsome, he blows away Wyman , McCartney and is definitetly eqaul too or better than The late great John Entwistle, John Bohnham is absolelutly their in the top 5 Greatest rock drummer's of all time , I think he's the best ! Robert Pl. what can I say, Definitely the most awsome powerfull voice in rock history! Their Music is Powerfull!!

What has happened to music? Where did the eight minute songs go with the three minute guitar solos? The content is there, but it seems that bands today lack that love for music Led Zeppelin had. They felt it (and the acid) you could clearly see it during a performance. I wish that there were more bands out today who had that kind of passion. There is no doubt that they were influenced by L.O.R. But, let's not forget Jimmy's love of the Celts. Led Zeppelin is, in my opinion, the best rock band in the world, and they are in a catagory of all their own.

yeah i know. why don't bands now play forever like Zep did? i think music now is horrible with the exception of aerosmith. they have been together forever it seems. Led Zeppelin is my favorite and that will never change.

zep is definatley the best band of all time. their music is still influentiall even now to people. many critics and tv stations still say led zeppelin is the best band ever. Their music is still played today that tells u somethings if someones music is still played on radio stations 23 years later their obviously great. bonhams heavy foot, jpj's string arangements and keyboarding skills, plants voice range,and pages i dont know goddiness, combine to form THE BEST MUSIC EVER! thanx for listeing

Well Led is the best band up to Date.It has touch me in my heart.
What can I say in a way thank God that Led is not burned,Well about the LOTR there is a connection,Robert is singing it in hes leryrs.Also,Led was the first of its time to touch all the people that have ever been loved or in love before.Led can't be compared.Im a straight up fan.What the hell is going on with the music today...all they talk about is Hate and about disstruction...No but Led "talk about Love" means it all "What is and what should Never Be" Listen to ther music and compare it to your life about Love.Peace...

Can someone explain to me why it is that the bands of today are these teenage punks who get on stage and play music... but have little or no idea of what music actually is? Take for instance, bands like Tool, System of a Down, Cradle of Filth etc. etc. How can you call it music? It's garbage! What happened to the 25 minute medleys and the feeling in the music?

zeppelin is the rarest form of music that moves you inside and although other bands occasionally capture this phenomena zeppelin does it every time. I hate to sit at home and talk about how great their music is. I would much rather study listen to it and play it and create my own music doing my best to create the deep feeling that zeppelin has. I can not stand to see all of the music on the TV and radio be total crap and some not music at all (RAP) but just noise.
