Yeah i love you know you're right too. its kinda like a tribute to kurt's life.

Wow I'm glad that the death discussion is over. I think everyone made some valid points. I love you know you're right... it has such a lonely and disappointed theme in it. Seems appropriate to be the last song that was recorded.

>>By RaveOnCaroline   (Saturday, 8 May 2004 17:48)

yeah it does seem very appropriate that it was the last song they recorded. kind of his farewell to the world....

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Sunday, 9 May 2004 20:12)

>>By Vavin   (Monday, 10 May 2004 01:14)

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Monday, 10 May 2004 21:40)

>>By spookygoth   (Monday, 10 May 2004 21:56)

>>By Vavin   (Tuesday, 11 May 2004 18:00)

oh right :) i thought you were correcting me! but thanks haha yeah i loved heart shaped box and come as you are, although come as you are i don't like as much as I used to as it's become over played :(

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:18)

I love so many of their songs! All of the ones on their greatest hits are awesome, although I don't think "You Know You're Right" is as great as it's made out to be...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Wednesday, 12 May 2004 20:26)

There's not one song that they have done that i dont like...even stuff that they didn't write....like for example the songs they perfomed on 'Mtv Unplugged'....there's just something about Kurt's voice that really grabs me in a way that no one else's voice can....One of my favorite songs that Kurt has sung is on the Mtv unplugged album..its the last song..it's called "where did you sleep last night" and there is this amazing howl that Kurt gives at the end that (as gay and corny as this sounds) just brings me to tears sometimes...his voice is just so amazing...i love it and i'll never get tired of it. you can feel what he's feeling through his voice....and not that many artists these days can do that to you...that's why Nirvana's music and Kurt's voice is timeless....OH CRAP..how ironic...Nirvana's "in bloom" just came on the radio...n e ways...i'm out....

>>By odnanref   (Thursday, 13 May 2004 00:21)

Yeah, I know what you mean about the whole cover thing. But what do you think of Molly's Lips?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 13 May 2004 01:00)

Personally, i love it...i think they did a great job covering one of the Vaselines' songs. Like i've said before, they make it (the cover songs) sound like one of their own. what do you think bout it?

>>By odnanref   (Thursday, 13 May 2004 20:28)

They made the covers sound as one of their own songs, because 80% of the time they would only know just a small part of the song and from there on they would try and play it, not doing the afford to go out and find out the rest of the ong. a good exaple of this is LOVE BUZZ, that only in the refrain seems to have something to do with the original, Kurt didn't even know all of the lyrics..... But yeah, it is a great cover...................

>>By Campking   (Friday, 14 May 2004 01:15)

who originally did Love Buzz?

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Friday, 14 May 2004 09:37)

a dutch band called Shocking blue". They also wrote the song Venus, which was a big hit somewhere in the 70ties and later covered by Banarama, if i am not wrong....

>>By Campking   (Friday, 14 May 2004 13:33)

Should I get the William Burroughs & Kurt Cobain collaboration. ?

>>By kerryoco   (Saturday, 15 May 2004 18:41)

oh cool thanks Campking! I don't know kerryoco, should you?

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Saturday, 15 May 2004 19:36)

i suggest downloading anything first if you like it then buy it

>>By Vavin   (Saturday, 15 May 2004 21:46)

the lyrics to "You Know Your Right" obviously hint towards divorce. and i have read a lot of interpretations of the lyrics that are way off. Why would Charles R. Cross make such an obviously wrong interpretation??

>>By ricksampsonwilson   (Sunday, 16 May 2004 05:54)

no interpretation is wrong, unless kurt cobain confirms it (which is highly unlikely as he is dead) nobody really actually truly knows what the song hinted towards or what it means because they didnt write it...

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Sunday, 16 May 2004 09:51)

exactly the talk about that song hinting to divorce was just rumor and speculation its right up there with the crap about courtney killing him

once again 23 seems to have said all i need to so i dont know why i just wrote that i guess i agree with you again (:23

>>By Vavin   (Sunday, 16 May 2004 18:41)

23: What's that all about?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Wednesday, 19 May 2004 19:15)

haha i dont know sk8a h8a, ask Vavin, he seems to have understood :)

>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Wednesday, 19 May 2004 23:28)

(: 23
sk8 read ricksampsonwilson's comment

>>By Vavin   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 00:13)

Kurt was the shit. His use of reverb in songs was a high point in Seattle rock. He helped bring down the cock-rock 80's. He is missed.

>>By mazzer   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 01:19)

ricksampsonwilson's comment? Which one?? You've said 23 before and I didn't understand it... please just explain yourself.
mazzer: I can but totally agree with you. Kurt was also the driving force by Nirvana (I guess that's proved by the fact that A) He wrote most of the songs and B) Look at what the other two members are doing now - the Foo Fighters suck compared to Nirvana) which was possibly the most awesome band ever.

I think Curt Cobain was Jesus reincarnated to save us all from our sins. In the bible, jesus upset a few tables in gambling houses.Jesus was a rock star who let himself die to prove a point. I don't think he had a rare stomache disese tho.

>>By #3loserwithpride   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 17:30)

whoa...whoa...whoa..there #3loserwithpride...let's not compare Kurt with Jesus Christ....they both led two very different completely lives....though i do believe that both were brought to this earth for a purpose, they sure as hell did not die for the same things. Let's not say that Kurt let himself die b/c remember there are people in this room who believe otherwise...and Yes he did have a very rare stomach disease...many, many doctors didn't believe him and thought he was just 'crazy' and making all this up but then one doctor decided to look into a little deeper and diagnosed the problem and gave a prescription to some pills that took the pain away....Kurt's mother had the same disease when she was younger but hers went away by itself.

>>By odnanref   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 17:46)

Also there's the fact that Jesus was not a rock star... I mean, Kurt Cobain had a huge following and was very popular. Jesus had a much smaller following, was not world famous and was hated by a lot of people. Also Kurt never claimed to be the son of God. What point did Kurt prove by dying?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 19:00)

lol...ya I forgot to mention that....Jesus wasn't a rock star...i saw the passion of the christ and not once did i see Jesus playing an electric guitar in front of an audience....LMAO....seriously, why did you think Jesus was a rock star?
