Korn are 1 of the best bands ever, but they sure are weirdos. My fav songs of theirs are- blind (cos it`s cool) , got the life (because it rocks) , the children of the korn (cos rap + metal mix sooo well , alone i break (slow but controled & the video is a must see) and daddy because it`s so emotional you feel terreble for jonathan davis, i have not lived a great life so far but it has been luxery compered to this man`s constant heartache. Anyway korn are one of the best bands that will ever live. P.S David Silveria is the best drummer in the world. THANXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Korn's crazy contests have got on end! With the smash success of the Issues album cover and the videos for "Falling Away From Me" and "Alone I Break", the Fab Five from Bakersfield will have another crazy contest. Finalists Peter Chong said in his monologue when he hosted Saturday Night Live with the band as musical guest, of this new contest, that it will "broaden the sh_t and get more teens and young adults to make or appear in a new video or designed the cover of an upcoming album." Sean Dack, Roberto Ameñiquítz, Jamal Skyler, Warren Brown Jr., and many others agree. According to Stamford Public Schools, this new contest will "give other Stamford residents who are big Korn fans, not just Hannah [Nabel] and Rose-Ann [Vonella], to get an oppertunity for 15 minutes of fame." The parents of the two girls disagree; Hannah said the following on a personalized web site: "I am not going to give up such sh_t. The 'Falling Away From Me' contest was f_cked up enough, but I'm doing this for my own good. My friends may or may not know about it, but I hope to do this so I can get a good scholarship and another chance to work with Trey [Parker] and Nathan [Cox]. Also, if the contest involves karaoke, doing a job at 'Voodoo' by Godsmack will be the latest sh_t anyone'll get to hear of me!" Rose-Ann, on the other hand, said this on a personalized web site: "I've been totally f_cked up by this sh_t, too. Whether it was me eating those Nitro Wings, getting trampled over at WXRK's [92.3 K-Rock] DFP 4.0 or believing in this nu-metal ballad bullsh_t from 'Outside' to 'Bother', by Staind and Stone Sour, respectively. Even if this means I'd have to disqualify myself, I wouldn't do it under any circumstances. Other artists like Metallica or Deftones may be worth while, but some acts are out of the picture, and the next time you'll hear me do anything with music, it'll have to be me doing a solo on the violin or whatever the f_ck you'll hear me do!!" Roberto, Jamal, Warren, Hannah, Rose-Ann and a couple of other contestants are up for anything to have such a big contest, and vocalist Jonathan Davis, bassist Fieldy, guitarists Brian "Head" Welch and James "Munky" Schaffer and drummer David Silveria are ready to get down to business.

This time around the contestants must be between the ages of 13 and 25 to compete, as usual, so Peter, who turned 26 on February 8, is out of the picture, so 21-year-old Roberto (he turns 22 on October 10), 20-year-old Jamal (he turns 21 on May 6), 18-year-old Warren (he turns 19 on August 12), and 16-year-old Hannah and Rose-Ann (they both turned 16 on January 15) are still legible for competing. These lovable finalists have what they need to make it to the top.

I have never been able to put any of Korns albums down. They have their own distintive sound which cannot be matched, they are one of the best bands here to today and they are Here to Stay.

A contest to design the cover of Korn's upcoming Greatest Hits album, video and DVD may arrive, sponsored by MTV, Comedy Central, and various rock radio stations across the country. Following the smash success of the Issues album cover and designing of the videos for "Falling Away From Me" and "Alone I Break", this contest will have tons of young fans nation- and probably worldwide sketching ideas for 5 album covers, one of each of the band's previous albums, their 1994 self-titled debut, 1996's Life is Peachy, 1998's Follow the Leader, the aforementioned Issues from 1999 and last year's The Untouchables. When the band was musical guest on Saturday Night Live, guest host Peter Chong, one of the "Falling Away From Me" finalists, said in his opening monologue, about contests like this one, that it "will broaden the sh_t and get more teens and young adults to design or star in a music video or sketch an album's cover." Various competitors from other contests or the same contest, including Sean Dack, Alfredo Carlos, Vince Queau, Jamil "Phoenix" Clarke, Brad Lambert, Roberto Ameñiquítz, Jamal Skyler, Warren Brown Jr. and The Pathway School's very own Charlie Stockdale, agree and have expressed their view about the contest. Some finalists and contestants have viewed it on personalized web sites. For example, "Falling Away From Me" contest winner Hannah Nabel said the following on her personalized web site: "This is some sh_t on which I will not give up. Designing the video was tougher than I thought, but I'm doing this for my own good. My friends may or may not know about it, but I'm doing this to get good scholarships and another chance to work with Korn, even if I do extra guitar duties on some of their songs or something. Even if that means sacrificing myself from Westhill's school orchestra. If another band were to have something like this, it's gotta be Godsmack!" Fellow winner Rose-Ann Vonella said the following on her own personalized web site: "I was totally f_cked up with this whole contest sh_t. I didn't even know what to expect! Whether I was spied on while taking a shower, fainting from eating too many of those Nitro wings, or feeling the blame for something I didn't do, I was never very far from trouble. I might have to try again with better luck in addition to the hopes of getting a good scholarship, even if not of my friends know about it. My friend Stefanie [Villers] says that losers shouldn't give up, even if that meant giving my autographed 7-stringed Ibanez guitar to her with EMG pickups instead of the usual DiMarzio pickups and sacrifice myself from Westhill's orchestra, too. If that were to happen, I'd throw a Japanese feel to the songs by doing some flute duties. My ambition is to make the best out of contests to come!" These lovable contestants are ready to work with vocalist Jonathan Davis, bassist Fieldy, guitarists Brian "Head" Welch and James "Munky" Schaffer and drummer David Silveria yet again! As before the age range is between 12 and 25. Roberto, a senior at Princeton University, is 21, but turns 22 on October 10, so he's still legible. Jamal, now a junior at UCLA, is 20 but turns 21 on May 6, so he's still legible, too. Warren, now a freshman at Georgetown Univeristy, is 18 but turns 19 on August 12, so he's still legible. Charlie, a resident in Anthony Wayne, is 15 but turns 16 on April 8, making him still legible. Hannah and Rose-Ann, both sophomores at Westhill High School, both turned 16 on January 15, making them both still legible. Brad, Phoenix, Vince, Sean and Alfredo are still questionable because some of them may be 25 and under, some are over 25, but Peter, on the other hand, because he turned 26 on February 8. Thousands of contestants will audition, but only 5 can win.

The "Falling Away From Me" video contest is the brainchild of South Park co-creator Trey Parker and Tri-State area based rock radio station 92.3 K-Rock. In November 1999, when the contest primiered, nine pairs of fans from New Jersey submitted video ideas with co-director ideas. This sparked the attention of then-22-year-old martial arts movie star/comedian Peter Chong, a Hong Kong native who currently resides in Princeton, NJ. After Thanksgiving break, he and Princeton University freshman Roberto Ameñiquítz (he's from Cancun, Mexico, originally but currently resides in San Diego, CA) came up with a video based on assorted horror flicks and co-directed by Martin Weitz. The two submitted the video in December 1999, shortly before nine pairs from New York submitted ideas, and it became New Jersey's "fan favorite". In late December 1999, Ithaca High School senior Jamal Skyler wanted to audition, but neither he nor his partner, old childhood friend Warren Brown Jr., a sophomore at the school, had the money of submitting. One day, as he was getting settled in class first thing in the morning, Skyler began sketching a video idea with him and Brown in a Hellraisers-style setting, but he couldn't find a co-director, so he tracked Brown down and Brown gave him his idea: Lionel C. Martin. The two agreed, and in January 2000, submitted the idea and it became New York's "fan favorite". Around that time, nine pairs from Connecticut submitted ideas, but none of them were from Stamford, so schools all across the town had drawings to find two students from any one middle or high school in the area. Cloonan Middle School won, and two of its 7th-graders, Hannah Nabel and Rose-Ann Vonella, came up with a video showing them at a summer camp in Newark, NJ, and then getting whisked to medieval Japan, spawning the idea for Black Knight. It was co-directed by Nathan "Karma" Cox, and it won the contest. Filming was in late June, and the video premiered in July.

All acting pissed off, but I guess I'd be pissed off too if I was in a shitty band.
