linkin park sucks korn is way better

>>By Vavin   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 00:16)

What do you expect from a H8a?

I liked the pun, though.

>>By sir-rape-a-lot   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 07:05)

I'm not a hater of Korn - I hate people who spell "skater" with an 8. I do it myself in a satirical way, you know? I have Follow the Leader uploaded on my computer and I enjoy it. However, I find that listening to the entire album is rather boring. Although the music is interesting over a short period of time and they are certainly very talented musicians, I find it to be rather monotonous after about half an hour of Korn.
As for Linkin Park - they are way better than Korn. They have a cooler style and one can actually understand what they're saying. I don't get bored of listening to them even after a couple of hours. And they haven't had 6 albums so people aren't fed up of them. I also feel that their songs have deeper and truer meanings than those of Korn.
Whose heard the Korn cover of Ice Ice Baby? I think that's even cooler than the original, although it would have been awesome if they'd including all of the verses, though. I love that song and Korn just made it radical in a whole new way. I also like Forsaken, the song by Korn and Disturbed from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack.

To each his own.

Linkin Park is cool, but I just don't feel 'em.

They'd be a completely different band if it wasn't for Korn.

Put both on the stage together and Korn blows them the fuck away.

>>By sir-rape-a-lot   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 18:23)

Yes, I suppose Korn are better live than Linkin Park. One doesn't tend to get too bored of the same stuff at a live concert, provided there's a good atmosphere. Korn don't actually have a live album though, do they?
What do you mean by "They'd be a completely different band if it wasn't for Korn"?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 19:03)

'Cause KoRn created nu-metal!!!!!

Arggggg!!The same convo. again!!!!I did tell you lil L.P. fans once, if I remember, on page 6 of this post!!!Jeese Louise!!!

Wasn't Metatoria a bit of a...dare I say it..sell-out?!(Sorry, it had to be done!!:-P)

KoRn probably don't have a live album, 'cause even if that sound's captured live, you just can't get the atmosphere that you get from actually being in a concert!

Ok, fair enough you prefer L.P. to KoRn, but you just can't go round sayin' they're better...I give up!!

>>By kathy_moose   (Thursday, 20 May 2004 21:54)

korn is way better than linkin park i mean come on if you think otherwise your dillusional

>>By Vavin   (Friday, 21 May 2004 00:29)

they're BOTH f*kn good!

>>By ania   (Friday, 21 May 2004 01:11)

Linkin Park aren't nu-metal though... they hate nu-metal. If you called them nu-metal they'd be really annoyed. Korn did not influence Linkin Park at all.
Meteora was not a sell-out - it was just a well-produced album.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 21 May 2004 01:19)

They built off of Nu-Metal...Went their own direction with it, but its influences are still there.

One of their (L.P.) unique characteristics, I must say, is their "trip-hop" element.
I happen to like that element; makes 'em a little different from the others.

>>By sir-rape-a-lot   (Friday, 21 May 2004 02:58)

Yes, thankyou!!They were built from nu-metal!!!!Jeese, there are some with sense round here!!:-P :-P :-P

Ok, I do admit that L.P. are individual in their own right, but jus' 'cause their individual, doesn't mean to say that they aren't influenced by anybody - the best musicians have loadsa influences...

If you even go to pick up a guitar, you're influenced by the likes of Hendrix and Led Zepplin, who are/were funkin' awsome musicians i must add!!!!These people helped promote rock music!!!

I prefer KoRn waay more than L.P. They put alot more feeling into their music and lyrics....They may not be the best musicians, in some people's view, but you've gotta agree that KoRn's music has a lot more soul and substance to it - that's what makes KoRn stand out...

>>By kathy_moose   (Friday, 21 May 2004 11:43)

What the Hell? I'm not influenced by Hendrix or Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant)... I just make stuf fup myself, you know?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 21 May 2004 16:27)

You kind of look like Hendrix a little bit, though...
Maybe it's the eyes, or the bone structure, or something...

>>By sir-rape-a-lot   (Friday, 21 May 2004 19:24)

Was Korn on the re-make of "Ice Ice Baby"? I got the album (Vanilla Ice - Hard To Swallow) and i'm not really sure is Korn mentioned in there. But one thing i know; Jonathan is not rapping that song. It's Vanilla Ice. And you can say whatever you want about him, i think his new music is great.

And i don't understand how does many releases from a band make people get fed-up with them? I only enjoy, when my fav band releases lots of albums. Plenty of good music. R.E.M. has released like 15 albums (or something like that) and i still like their music.

>>By Shaggz   (Friday, 21 May 2004 22:49)

Jeese Louise, you make stuff up, like Hendrix did!!!

People like Hendrix made up their own stuff and helped promote rock music!!!!Rock music wouldn't be what it is today without people like Hendrix!!!Can't you people read?!!?!?

Don't f*cking try and diss Hendrix, I warn you now!!!

Why thank-you, sir-rape-a-lot!!:-P

>>By kathy_moose   (Friday, 21 May 2004 22:55)

and i thought all hendrix fans were extinct lol Zeppelin is great theres nothing more fun than getting drunk and blasting his music

>>By Vavin   (Friday, 21 May 2004 23:34)

Hehe, jus' cause Hendrix is sadly not with us any longer, doesn't mean we can't listen to his great music!!Jeese Louise!!!Young people nowadays!!:-P

>>By kathy_moose   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 19:24)

plz dude i dont like korn but korn is way bettre than linkin park u say korn are sell out ? what do you think about linkin park lol plz but anyway both aren't good punk > them

>>By wo_Ot-   (Saturday, 22 May 2004 20:09)

i was joking kathy (: and i am older than you

>>By Vavin   (Sunday, 23 May 2004 00:50)

Hahaha, I look like Hendrix? If you say so... I'll remember that. Just because I write my own stuff doesn't mean I was influenced by Hendrix. I respect that he was an awesome musician, but I don't write stuff anything like him... I don't really play guitar myself, actually. And I'm not trying to diss him. Who's dissing him??
Korn was indeed on the re-make - I adore that song. Almost as good as the original, as I said.
Linkin Park are better than Korn. You can actually hear what they're singing and it makes sense, too. They're not as ridiculously heavy as Korn either. What they play is music rather than noise.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 23 May 2004 14:15)

korn is better than linkin park

>>By Vavin   (Sunday, 23 May 2004 16:12)

Notice how I actaully give reasons I prefer LP... I could respect your opinion if it weren't for the fact that I suspected you are disagreeing with me simply because you don't like me.

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 23 May 2004 17:42)

What???There are waay more heavier bands than KoRn!!!KoRn is some what of a medium-weight when it comes to heavy bands!!!

No, I'm not disagreeing with you, because I don't like you - I never said I didn't like you!!!You seem to have a good taste in music, from what I've seen from the other posts you put up on the other forums!!

I used to like L.P., but my ex got me into KoRn..then things changed...You see, lots of things have happened in my life, lots of bad stuff....So when I listen to KoRn, I can completely relate to it...
I'm not saying I was sexually abused as a child, unlike Jon Davis...But I've learned that people can be so horrible, so hurtful...

Anyways!!On a lighter note, I genuinely perfer KoRn to L.P, 'cause I've recently been getting into heavier/metal rock...

Wait, you were talking 'bout Vavin...Oh!!

Wait...Vavin, how "old" are you then??Or is that a sensitive subject??

>>By sir-rape-a-lot   (Monday, 24 May 2004 00:43)

>>By Vavin   (Monday, 24 May 2004 02:40)

>>By sir-rape-a-lot   (Monday, 24 May 2004 08:22)
