Discussion: Bright Eyes brighteyes is an amazing band lead by the genious of conor oberst....His lyrics are so moving and absolutely brilliant. I can relate to basically any of his songs. On "lifted...." there is usually a full orchestra creating a brilliant sound, and fevers and mirrors is astoundingly good. All the other lps and cds are fuckin tops as well. Buy an album. NOW! seriously. Even though the show i saw (san diego) had horrible sound... connor was determined to deliver to his fans... and he's damn easy on the eyes. Conor puts it out there like noone I've ever heard before and as a songwriter he is rediculously inspiring! He pretty much tells you his whole process through his lyrics and holds nothing back. He is somewhat off key most of the time but it only works to his advantage. His lyrics are incredible and read more like a book then a song, yet when he sings them they fit perfectly. Their performance was so beautiful. One of the best live bands that I've ever seen. My personal favorite song that they perfomed was 'A Perfect Sonnet'. Hearing Conor was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. His songs are amazing. He has helped me see the positive aspects in life instead of just focusing on the negative things. When I'm sad, "Bowl of Oranges" cheers me up. You should all listen to his other band, Desaparacidos.
