I hear them far too often. But not as often as some songs which are so abominable that I won't even grace the artist with a post on their discussion board.

Nice band - I quite like 'Volume 3: (The Subliminal Verses)' actually - but I still HATE the average Slipknot fan (between 14 and 16 and absolutely NO IDEA what kind of music there is besides the few 'big' bands they know)...

Outkast? That's not what I was expecting. There are a lot worse artists in the world of rap / hip-hop than Outkast. Trust me, I used to know.

yeah, i know.. there are alot of slipknot fans out there that make the rest of us look like complete idiots.....
..the 12 year old boys who think their masks are cool..
.. and then there's the annoying people who hate them just because they wear masks.. if you think thats stupid.. alright.. but it worked for them.. there look goes with their music..
..oh, and to the people saying theyre just rap with guitars.. you really havent listened to them at all then.. feel free to give us your uneducated opinions.. but i doubt we'll take them seriously anyhow..

I don't have time to read 7 pages about this band, and this may have already been argued over extensively but...
Slipknot are as manufactured as s club juniors. The real people responsible are a bunch of fat guys in suits who thought it would be a) lucrative and b) a laugh to manufacture a band who sing about hating manufactured bands. And those suit guys were right.

Where does Slipknot come from ? Mars ? Venus ? Jupiter ? ur'anus ? Some songs i like of them but i don't understand why they need to sell hate. Don't misunderstand me, i don't think it's sick to sell music that way to kids, i think it's pathetic. A pitty, 'cause the music doés kick ass. But the way they bring it to the world makes it ironical enough commercial
again. Sad.

Know what you mean. It's great to have the ability to grab some hardcore when being angry, sad, pissed or full of hate about shit. It can be a relief. But it also can be a stimulation to feed the bitterness inside. A stimulation that can build a wall around the heart that prisons own identity. Don't let it happen to yours. Listen to the things you wanna listen, watch the things you wanna watch. But keep all the goods alive and do not let it captured by a wall of Slipknot. Believe me, you're worth better.

i like slipknot, there not my fave band, but i did see them at the Big Day Out - that i big gig thing we have here - and then after 1 of my m8s and i met one of them at the bar we go to every week :)
it was kinda funny, coz we didnt know it was him, and their roadie, who got us into the other bar to met them, just told us to ask the guy behind the bar for any music we wanted, so we asked for APC and he said he didnt play that, so then we asked 4 Tool and he said he h8ed Maynard (cry). then when we sat down, we realised he was one of the slipknot guys :D
lol, i found out l8r that hes the one also in murder dolls.
any way, this is really long, and you ppl most likely dont care, so see ya :D

holy F*ing crap. alot of the bull written here makes me wanna puke. most of you don't seem to know anything about Slipknot. a seldom few of you could call yourself maggots for sure. Slipknot is hardcore music put to sic lyrics and backed by a jawdropping performance. each member, 0-8, is a crucial part of the band. but it is definitely true that they would be nothing without the sickest most bada$$ drummer ever-Joey, and of course their voice-Corey. Joey has the baddest f*ing drum set up out there, and his solos are mind melting.

meh, I used to like them in highschool but I grew out of them. I do like a couple of their newer songs like 'duality' and...that one where they're not wearing masks. I think StoneSour kick a lot more ass though.

Hmm, I do like a few of their song. But wouldn't wanna listen to them religiously, nothing wrong if you do like - I just prefere metal :o)~
Anyways, in my opinion half their songs would be better without vocals.
