to the man who thinks religion is a "blankie", koin. religion is not an excuse to get little boys alone, now maybe to you it is. And if ( there is no if, I can tell you do by you bring that up.) you float that way. thats cool (but nasty) and dont come looking for me because I like women that are in MY AGE RANGE. not all religious people go after little boys, as i recall it is only the catholics that are going after them. now when you die and you end up at heaven and you are sent to hell you will say I should have listend to the religious people. I promise you there is a heaven and hell. by the sound of it is sounds like you are an atheist?? well do you believe in satan? because if so then there must be a god? you think???
and for the rest of you who criticize POD because they kicked someone out of there band, GET OVER IT!!!! it is part of being in a group. you dont even know what all happend with the band. where all of you there?? every second of the day??? P.O.D is a Cool band. They do talk about Jesus they just use different names for him. Such as "Zion" and many more. You dont have to use the name "Jesus" if you are in a christian band. There are many more names for "The Lord". So go and listen to the songs again and read the lyrics, then you will see that they are talking about God. Tottals!!!!!!!

I haven't said anything negative about a specific religion, frankly I don't care what people believe in as long as they don't feel the need to come tell me about it. I did bag on anyone who considers POD's audio diarrehea "music", and I did bag on YOU for being a hyporcrite. P.O.D. ? What can be said that hasn't already been spewed across this website? I think that "payable on death" is not what the acronym stands for. It may stand for "prophets of deception"? "pilgrims of (the) devil"? I 've owned about 2 discs of theirs at one point in my life. I think that they were "Jesus Lovers" at some time in their life, but presently, they aren't. In my opinion, "Christians" need to stay out of the secular entertainment business. They suck at it. Stryper proved this in the 80s. I know, different styles comparing P.O.D. w/ Stryper, and this is not the 80s. I have only stated MY opinion and I would be close-minded and foolish to believe that my thoughts are correct and should be believed! I'm not a true Christian, but I still embrace some beliefs. I don't look down on those who enjoy P.O.D. (or Korn, Bizkit, Linkin, etc.). I'm just stating a few views of my own. PEACE and LOVE to all!!!

at first i didnt know that P.O.D was christian but i went to a christian rock concert with a couple friends and talked to a few people there about the band and it has become one of my favorite bands since then and i have really come to understand the lyrics and the meaning of the bands name...i myself am in a band but we are just starting out and new to everything around us and we look up to other bands like P.O.D and Pillar umm but anyways wut i was tryin to say mostly is that P.O.D rocks and anyone who doesnt like them can just deal with it...

Okay, people, no one of you has the right to tell people, what they should be! I mean, that's insane! And what i believe, you don't need to be christian if you don't wanna burn in hell. What if christians are the ones who will burn in hell? What if and what if, we will never get the answer. It's in human nature that everyone want's to be a part of somethin', so that's why we got goths, christians, atheists and so on. VERY TOLERANT, BUT I KNOW, THAT'S WHAT CHRISTIANS HAVE BEEN KNOWN FOR IN HISTORY... THEIR TOLERANCE..........
I think it is more important to be fair in life to others and to your self.. honour others like you want to be honoured (I know I know, ten Commandments), but I don't think you need constant prayer and believe in God to be a rightious person..
And if God does exist and I was wrong, I hope He will see that my only sin was not believing in him, but that I have been good to the people around me, and still leave in me into heaven... and if not, I don't thik that then I would like to be in Heaven.....

yeah I don't really like POD they aren't terrible but they're annoying and I just...don't like them... now for the actual point of this post:
Why do people defend bands that they like by simply saying "you're jealous" it's really annoying and makes no sense...jealous of what? If you're going to try to defend your taste in music, especially when people say that the band you like is s marketting machine and their fans (you) just take what they put out and don't question it, to defend that band you should at least give a reason for liking them! Otherwise you are simply playing right into they're statement that you take what you hear and not question it. Furthermore why would we be jealous of someone who we believe has no talent? to be jealous of talentless crap is simply stupid, if we were jealous simply because they are successful, why would we be jealous of them? there are hundreds upon thousands of successful musicians out there and it makes no sense to pick a band who we dislike, and believe has no talent (therefore making them not enviable at all) and choosing to be jealous of them...

Lol, where to start?
Okay. I think there's been a little confusion here. I don't know a lot about Christianity, I'm new at this and I haven't studied it or anything, I've just been here. It's my home.
But "mere" Christianity never claimed to be "tolerant"--that's nowhere in the Bible. It's not a Christian virtue. In fact, we're very intolerant of many things. Anything that hurts people in any way, umm, I, for one, hate. But at the same time, we're told to love people, even "fuckin Goths" although I'm sort of a Goth, or at least was... and some of my best friends are hardcore metalheads. They don't really do the whole black lip-stick thing but if they did, I'd still think they were hilarious. And huggable.
We could talk about love. But it might be boring. :0) Love is looking for the best for everyone else, even over yourself. So even though I love POD I can't ask Dresden to listen to them. That would suck, for him, at least.... I know people don't like the hardcore reggae vibe. That's cool. The technical metal grabs some people, and some just need to scream.
Speaking of screaming, if you get so sick of Christians that you need to scream at one, my e-mail address is karimagne@aol.com. Also, check out their new cd for what POD stands for. It's kind of obvious.
