Although I have extended my thoughts and philosophies over the past few days I have yet to comment on the true meaning behind this message board, POD. POD exibits a true model of what their genre of music is meant to be. Stero-typical cynics may call the dredlocked, tattoo covered, pierced, and hard rocking band "unchristian" based on their apperance and style of music. The truth is, God created each one of us to be individual. It is how we live our lives and how we glorify our creator that really matters. Suit and ties, khaki's and polo's, southern gospel and worship music are not what is going to reach those who are looking for something to place their hope in. What they will look for is people who are like themselves physically, and who understand them. The differance is, the band members of POD, and others who are on that level have found that something. They do not have to rely on drugs and alcoholism to fill the voids they may encounter. So. not every1 does drugs and alcohol. It doesnt matter, no matter what people are looking for, if they are not looking for hope in the maker of our lives, then they are searching in the wrong place. So, what it comes down too is, do not look down on those who do not fit the image of a "christian", it may just be those people, who are willing and ready, to go turn their world upside down for Jesus Christ.

I like POD, because they are emotional about Who they're living for, and seem to be in touch with the Spirit of God. At least that's what I feel. Jesus was diss'd for not being religious enuf. I've tried being religus and it doesn't work too well, although I learned some things about faith within the mainstream church, for sure. I know that suffering is a big part of any authentic life, and I have my ways of avoiding the pain, but Christ shows me that to suffer is to grow and POD's music encourages me to rage against my weakness, my denial, my selfishness... while at the same time to accept my shortcomings. Anyways, POD keep the message loud and strong!!!!

P.O.D Satellite is a great album some really fresh songs. It does get on my nerves when ppl say they aren't good duely to the fact that they are a christian band as at the end of the day its about the music which is fantastic. But it does also annoy me when ppl say things about KoRn or bands like em coz I also listen to them and I think if they actully listened to the lyrics they might get the fact they aren't preaching hate.

POD has inspired me to play music such as the guitar and bass guitar for the Lord. And to all who wanna belittle Sonny, Marcos, Wuv, and Traa....you guys go ahead cos no matter what you say about them cos i know one day I'll see em in heaven and we will then sing together like I've alwaysd dreamed to do. POD sucks. They aren't living the life. They claim to be Christians yet there is so much evidence against that. I am sick of them lying to the youth and the media. Marcos left and part of the reason was because they are so two-faced. They aren't real. They put on a mask and pretend to be so good when they are living like the devil. Even their music isn't the same anymore. They have changed. They used to be sold out for God and now they are lukewarm. They are more caught up in the ego and the fame than glorifying God. That really sucks of them.

I don't agree. What you just said was exactly what Marcos said in an article. Maybe Marcos chose to be lukewarm, so of course hes gonna bash on the band. Maybe im wrong, maybe your wrong, none of us hang out with POD, so we dont know. I just dont beleive disgruntled x band members that hold a grudge.

my avdice to you is go get a band of your own....and maybe then after you see what it takes.....youll change your ideas of others........
it doesnt even make sense for you to judge something you have no idea about
they dont ask for you to be criticts...........theyre just doin what they like to do...
so i hope you are judged on what you like doing and see how it feels
they work hard and go through the same things you do......

Saying a band is the "best Christian band ever" isn't really saying much at all. And while Philosophic Propet pontificates on His beliefs, realize that P.O.D. doesn't hold up well at all outside of a very narrow niche. Well...narrowness of mind and soul has been a Christian staple since it's inception. And like Christians who stole traditions and customs (even the date of the birth of Christ, for fuck's sake) from the followers of Mithras and the other gods of Hellenism, P.O.D. does the same in everything they do musically. Tell me what, if anything, they have done to contribute to something original. I've heard the rapping, I've heard the music many, many times before and much better. It's just sterile, bland, watered down stuff created solely to be easy to listen to and follow just like...well, you know where I'm going with this.
Be strong, fight your establishment, open your eyes, don't be afraid to ask hard questions and don't let anyone tell you that just because something has been written and read over and over and over again that it's true. You've had a blanket over your head for far too long.

Personally i think POD is a good band. I also think other non christian bands are good. everybody has their opinion. Now for you people that just have to criticize others have a low self esteem. Does it make you feel better when you put christians down???? Well I thimk you should listen to US, it will do YOU non believers good in the long run. You wont burn in hell if you believe and God and and accept him in to your life. You people have so much hatred, want you get to a counselor as soon as posible. I don't like the P.O.D guys anymore! They are backstabbin' idiots, who turn their backs on friends. When they fired Marcos (Best guitarist on new-metal scene), They had already got a new guitarist from another christian metal-band. And all this, bcoz' of Marcos's another band project. Guys in Marcos's new band weren't relegious, so Sonny and the rest of the pod-fuckers kicked him out. That was outrageous! Marcos feels like he's traited by his best friends. It camed suddenly, out of the blue, man! He couldn't even prepare for the news. That sucks, man! So from now on, i won't support those backstabbin muthafuckers!

heh heh you people all talk as if this matters. Does it? What impact on your life does the existance of P.O.D have? You haters out there have P.O.D done anything to you? Were you ever physically assulted by them? If you answer that they assult you mentally with their music you could always just not listen to it. None of you have anything on them other than your own stereotypical opinions born out of the media's representation of your supposed "movement". To the Christians religion is nothing more than an excuse to get little boys alone. The human conciousness is nothing but a series of electrical pulses supported by a system of organs designed to maintain these pulses so that we may continue to live long enough in order to reproduce and create more of our kind. Thats it. When we die the pulses cease and that it. There is nothing more after that. I'm sorry but thats the truth. Religion does serve it's purpose well though as a "blankie" for soceity but other than that it does nothing.
