I don't know about all this talk about Nas being the greatest ever, I'm not sure that anybody holds that title at least not yet. But I do know one thing, Nas raps with a passion that has been unseen for the past 20 years of hip hop and his words carry inspiration that no other rapper today can match. He has written some of the greatest street anthems of all time, "Hate Me Now" and "Nastradamus", as well as several inspirational tracks like "One Mic" and "If I Ruled The World" among others. Don't get it twisted though, when it comes to the greatest mc's of all time Nas is definitely up there with Biggie, Pac, Jigga, and Snoop when it comes to hip hop's elite. If Nas can outlast Jay-z and Snoop who are both still going strong, he will stand alone at the top.

Just to let you know you fuckin moron, the term "GOD" that Nas uses (Ghost Face and RZA and Gza and everybody else in wu-tang and almost eveybody from the east coast also) is a sign of respect and affection, not praise. i personaly love nas because when he raps he sounds like a man during the harlem renassiance who is describing all of the struggles of everyday black people. his latest song "i know i can" really brought me in to what he was saying and it showed me that he had a lot of positive things to say besides talking about drugs and hustlin. i heard important information when i listened to the song. he is teaching while he's rapping and i have a lot of love and respect for him. i'm also happy that he is not beefing with jay-z as much as he was before.

I'm gonna clear this ish up. First of all, Pac's best album ever is by far "The 7 Day Theory", his 1st album released under Makaveli. All Eyez on Me, is also one of his best albums, not one of his worst like dude up there said. Nas doesn't touch Pac on a lyrical measuring point nor on passion in his songs. Come one yall, songs like Changes, Against All Odds, Dear Mama. Pac is known for his deep messages. Nas is deep also, but Pac is in his own world lyrically. As far as a lyricist goes, Pac is 1st, then Nas is 2nd. Jay is no lyrcist. He makes good music, but it doesn't have the quality of Pac's nor Nas'. Nas is King of NYC. 50 may make a nice pop song like, 'in da club', but when it comes to getting a message across to guide the youth, Nas is going to get it done, not Jay, and not 50 but Pac & Nas, Pac's gone (RIP..we love you), so Nas "Is the Last Real Nig*ga Alive"..holla! Whoever thinks the person that makes the most money is the better rapper doesn't know who hip hop is about. The pure thing about Hip Hop is, it's not measured on a cash level like R&B and other genres. Hip Hop is measured like this, go to Chicago, LA. NYC, Atlanta, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Brooklyn, Oakland, and them nig*gas on the street, who are the deepest rappers of all time, and they'll tell you these three more than any other, 1. Pac. 2.
