Reroute to Remain is the best CD to come out in a long time.Awesome riffs and thier chorus' are well done,they can write a good catchy chorus that doesnt sound popy.One problem I had is the keyboards were too up-front.They arent as guitar oriented as they were before.But either then that this thing kicks ass from front to back.And its extremely addictive.

In Flames are one of my favorite metal bands of all time. I have seen them in concert a few times and have heard all of there Cd's. There are one of the greats. What else can I say they are the shit.

For the rest of you, if you like a bit of death metal with a decent singer, not some screeching idiot, then try Susperia. they're absolutely amazing, with catchy,crunchy fast riffs.the singer is awesome too.U can understand him, yeat he still screams and shouts etc-they're amazing!

InFlames is good music! And the new album(reroute to reamin) i just can't get it out of my CD-player... awesome stuff.
And to people like britneys corpse: Don't bother to come and preach to people who like InFlames... it's stupid to say that "InFlames suck and for example opeth rullzzz!"

In flames is the greatest band of all time. Those who diss them have a serious problem. The arrival of anders produced 5 of the best albums ever assembled (Jester race, Whoracle, Colony, Clayman, Reroute). If you like music rather than screaming fcukin idiots then this band will become your favorite in a matter of minutes. Rock on you kick ass

can u recommend any other stuff like this that isnt as dark as say old mans child- im into Children of Bodom, In Flames, Soilwork(why havnt they been mentioned here yet!?), Suidakra-AMAZIN by the way, a bit of Cradle of Filth, Dark Tranquility, Susperia. Name someone else whos music i should own, please, coz im always looking for new stuff.
aby recommendations??and NO i dont like anything like slow depressing satyricon like their last album, nor Berzerker, nor hate eternal, napalm death etc. cant stand that, but any more melodic stuff!

I was blown away the first time i head In Flames. The have the best riffs i've ever heard. My fav. songs are Cloud Connected, Insipid 2000, Only For The Weak, and Trigger. Great band

In Flames is definately my favorite band, I was never a metal fan until my friend sent me 'Only for the Weak'. After that i was hooked by their amazing guitar solos and vocals (Especially 'Embody the Invisible', 'Brush the Dust Away', and 'As The Future Repeats Today'. Mostly the stuff from 'Clayman' but since Anders Friden has taken over as vocalist their stuff has been brilliant. They're not your run of the mill anti-christ metal band, they actually have skill. Anyone who hates them definately doesnt have an ear for good music
Btw - britneys corpse - opeth, darkthrone, emperor, burzum are all no talent shit bands with horrid vocals and repetetive instruments that sing about some shit about killing christ (who never existed =Þ)

I have been listening to In Flames since I was about 12 (so... 3 years ago). They are a great death metal band. I first heard 'Only for the Weak' and then 'Clayman.' I loved it then and I love it now. They got me into death metal, until I heard In Flames I sorta only listened to Black Metal and some Nu-Metal.
DHammeR, do you honestly know anything about metal? Liking one metal band doesn't mean you like, or know, metal. As for talking about killing christ, where did you get that? Maybe a few bands sing of christ, but i've never heard of one sing of killing christ. I have heard a few bands sing about the idea of christ and god, and then expressing their hate for a god like that. Opeth kicks ass, listen to their song Demon of the Fall, don't talk about shit you know nothing about, dissing Opeth and claiming to be metal is like dissing Slayer and Arch Enemy and saying you are hardcore. Shut the fuck up you prick.
As for not understaning what they are saying, that is what Death Metal is. Incoherent vocals accompanied by heavy guitar rifts. Death Metal is famous for growling, so either like it, or don't diss it and then claim to be hardcore.
