It seems that Dispatch has called it all to an end. It's not positive but everyone wont be shocked if they do break up for good. They just got tired of playing with each other for so long. 8 years is a very long time. They are all doing solo stuff now; I guess if those are successful then Dispatch will never come back for sure. We can only wait and see. Right now I am just hoping for a Reunion Tour.
It sucks.

I had the distinct and honored pleasure of meeting and interviewing dispatch with they came to one of thier native cities--boston. The band is simply increadible. I can't wait until they finish thier solo tours and get back together on tour again. It's funny because on several occassions I've talked to....and have becomwell acquainted with their management, and I was shocked to find out, when I asked "How come these guys have never had a record deal offered??" that in fact, they've had several, from major companies as well....Yet they declined as they play because they like to do it, simple as that.
Kudos dispatch, you guys are amazing, and best of luck to you all!
PS- If you'd like to check out the video of thier performance and interview, feel free to check out my site at www.GaryBurnsProductions.com ....just click on "Countdown TV"--"videos"--and you'll it from there....enjoy!

Hi! I live in Sweden and I must say that it´s so wonderful to find music on the internet that maybe isn´t so known in Europe. I don´t think Dispatch are as big here in Europe as in the U.S but I am so glad I found their music. I´m telling everybody to listen to their music. Dispatch is, I dare to say, one of the best bands in the world. My question is: When are they coming to Sweden?!?! /Claudia

Am I the only one in the world who thinks the general is one of Dispatch's worst songs? I mean come on Open Up, Flying Horses, Elias, Bang Bang, Two Coins, and Hey Hey are just a few examples of their better stuff. I'm not saying I hate the general, but people always associate Dispatch with the general and never listen to their other stuff.

Hey y'all out there, if you guys like Dispatch check out Audtiory Sensation, they play some D-patch covers and have a pretty good sound. Check them out www.geocities.com/auditorys/as.html I don't mean to disrespect the board but you gotta spread the music somehow. Dispatch is probably my favorite band, they are so good, so many different styles, it's crazy. Thanks for reading.

Hey, I'm from the UK, i'd never heard of Dispatch until a few weeks ago, but i now totally love their music. The only trouble is, its impossible to get any of their CD's anywhere, even over the net. Anyone know any where i can get their CD's, and any other cool bands similar to Dispatch????

Dispatch is one of my favorite bands ever. Pete, Chad, Braddigan, man u guys do it all, you can kick the distortion and drive the wah pedal and become a total rock band, then break the acoustics, harmonicas and bongos and get those lighters up, and then you just push it into some funky stuff that u can just groove to. I really hope Dispatch doesnt break up, I mean they have so many loyal fans who follow them and really love em. Keep on rockin Dispatch, Braddigan you r the coolest!

It's pretty sad that one of the greatest bands had to break up! I just recently started listening to there music and i have three of there cd's! I have finally found the sound i have been searching for my whole life! And all this talk about them sounding like the DMB is crap! DISPATCH has there own sound that no one else can take!

I've been a fan for a few years now. I am currently working with a music production company, so you can imagine how cool it was for me to introduce them to Dispatch. They're really a one of a kind group, and I can't wait for them to get back together and get out on tour! Pass them along to all your friends....their underground following is growing by the day.

I recently heard the General at my summer camp and I absolutely fell in love with it. The Lyrics are so meaningful, the melody is just beautiful and the vocals are amazing. I soon discovered that Dispatch's other songs were just as good, if not better! I really hope they're not breaking up!! Does anyone have ay song recommendations?
Ciao!

I first came across this band this past summer and like everyone here, I love em. The first time I heard them was around a camp fire with a few of my budies when they started playing and singing The General... they had it down to the T! Wicked song, wicked band... Fav songs: Out Loud and Hey, Hey.

I think Dispatch is the best band ever. Theyre music is exactly the kind I love and they have so many amazing songs. I was looking at some1's review about the general and I was wondering wether "The general" didn't so much see how fighting was wrong, he saw in his dream that this particular war couldnt be won and so he told his men to go home and spare themselves. I may be wrong but I think this because at the end of the song he says that the general bagan to fight, and why would he fight if he thought it was wrong. Songs are always open for interpretation so please comment on this if you want to.

i porbably should have read all of the reviews b4 i typed. Elias is in Swahili, not sure y but i sounds cool. Time served recently became my fav song, but it keeps changing. hey hey is reall good, mayday is also real good,Two coins is great, flying horses, Fuck it theyre all great. cant stop. questioned apocalypse, walk with you, out loud, prince of spades. lol sry thats such a long list but theyre all great, so are the ones i didnt mention but those came to my mind.

Alright guys, don't all collectively attack me here, but I was reading that you were discussing the meaning of The General and I had to get in on this one. You see, to me, the meaning isn't SO obvious as some would say. Look deeper. (If you're not a Christian, hopefully this doesn't spur you against me, this is just my interpretation, that I am of course allowed to have.) Here's how I see it. The General (Jesus) has fought many battles (taught many and fought through adversity) and they likened him to the legends and stories of old (as in the parables he used to convey his message.) Contrived? Not quite. He wrestles in the night, right? With the meaning of the "battle" looming. (His torture and crucifixion.) He then awakes his "soldiers", basically the apostles, to tell them what he had seen and what will happen. He tells them, effectively, that this is his fight, and they can't follow him and he doesn't even ask them to. He tells them to go, and leave the fight to him. Which he then does indeed begin to "fight" (endure his sentence) on his own. If you think this is far-fetched, it isn't the first time Dispatch has hidden seemingly theological ideals in figurative lyrics in a song. Consider Open Up. A man who is taken into custody and tells them the man they are looking for doesn't exists. (i.e. Jesus is not a person but God) and that he is just a figment of the higher man's tongue. Which is, in my understanding God. The boy asks him why he smiles, he says "I'll tell you boy when I get back." Which alludes to his Ressurection. Also, those condemning him tell him "how are we to know you are not a liar?" They effectively say he has to die by their law, not for any wrongdoing. Elias also hides some meaning, although it is a bit more of a stretch then the previous two songs, save for one line; "Do you think you could answer all the questions in the world? In a word, I think you could. Cause if you die will I get word that you're gone, or will I hear it in passing conversation, or will I stop short and fall to the ground? Distance is so short when your hand carries what your eye has found." What do you guys think? I'm open for debate!!

Im a huge dispatch fan and cant believe that noone on the forum has mentioned the song steeples, its by far one of my favorites. anyway, the other day i was listening to a live version of steeples(blew me away) and i kinda realized that it seems like dispatch has two sides, a lighter side with songs like bang bang and railway station, and a darker side with songs like even time served and steeples. these "darker songs" seem to have some kind of underlying meanings to them does anyone know where to get info on these songs or have their own input on them? if so email to clintbrooks@hotmail.com, also ive downloaded some music by pete francis and his music has a real dispatch sound(voice, and instramentals), but the guy from dispatchs name is pete heimbold- any info on this? another thing- i was looking for some music by one fell swoop(dispatchs old band) and i cant find it anywhere, is it all underground stuff? either way i would really like to hear it.
