Oh yes he's worked with Placebo, and NIN as well. And lots of others for that matter.

14 pages on Nirvana, 2 on Bowie. No justice.

What is everyone's opinion on Reality? I think it's great, though not an instant classic.

>>By Flagg   (Friday, 7 Jan 2005 20:53)

i didnt buy reality, and i don't plan too either, i prefer classic bowie...but he does have some good songs on reality

>>By RaNcId_StAr   (Saturday, 8 Jan 2005 21:41)

it's certainly worth getting. would be good for more people to recognise that he didn't die in 1989. starting from outside (1995 masterpiece and i'm listening to it as i type this) he carried on making brilliant music but no one notices anymore.

ziggy stardust is the best, along with hunky dory x

>>By scarletnikki   (Monday, 31 Jan 2005 12:33)

Right now, probably 1.Outside. I'm still waiting for the sequel he announced about eight years ago. Ziggy Stardust and Heathen are also brilliany.

>>By Flagg   (Wednesday, 2 Feb 2005 19:23)

cool, the man who sold the world is really good too, so's heroes

>>By RaNcId_StAr   (Wednesday, 2 Feb 2005 21:37)

I haven't heard The Man Who Sold the World, not the whole album. I will sooner or later though. Scary Monsters is another good'un. What I've heard from Alladin Sane, I don't like all that much.

>>By Flagg   (Wednesday, 2 Feb 2005 22:53)

i dont like let's dance, some of the songs are good but it's just not as good as anything else

>>By Flagg   (Tuesday, 8 Feb 2005 22:40)

i bought a dvd of the reality tour and i'm watching it right now, it's BRILLIANT! i really wanna see him live now. the band he had for that tour are amazing too. and he's so damn stylish!

>>By Flagg   (Saturday, 26 Feb 2005 20:39)

david bowie is simply a legend!! damn sexy too! labyrinth is an amazing film too. love his older stuff...space oddity etc, i grew up listening to him. genius! :o)

>>By molkos_lover   (Tuesday, 1 Mar 2005 17:36)

Yeah I remember listening to Space Oddity when I was really young. Liked him even then :) Has anyone heard every single one of his albums?

>>By Flagg   (Tuesday, 1 Mar 2005 23:42)

I've a friend who probably has, his entire room is devoted to bowie, it's like some kind of shrine.....
I have the labyrinth on video (before the days of the almighty dvd) and the soundtrack and his greatest hits but that's it =( what's his best album? if it's possible to decide? I'd ask my friend but he's very biased.
my favourites are space oddity, man who sold the world, is there life on mars, and pretty much all the classics, though I do love I'm afraid of Americans.
Did you know that the Smashing Pumpkins played with him at some concert as his guests? and he's been covered by so many people! the bauhaus, nirvana, beck, samantha mumba, and a few others i can't remember at the mo. I'm not saying they're good just saying that they did.....

>>By future ruler of the world   (Monday, 14 Mar 2005 17:26)

Everyone on here is probably pretty biased too : / Personally, my favourite is Outside. But that hasn't got any classics on it so......

Ziggy Stardust, Hunky Dory and Scary Monsters, I'd reccomend. Hunky Dory has Changes and Life on Mars and Scary Monsters has Ashes to Ashes.

When listing the "greats of music" any list would be incomplete without David Bowie. The music, the style, and the concept that was Glam Rock, was David Bowie.
