What happened to the Swiss Army Romance CD? I can't find it anywhere, except for places taht say it's to be released April 22nd, 2003. What happened to the one released Nov 2000? I'm guessing the record company stopped producing so they're switching production?

I am a somewhat new fan but I just have to say that I have never heard a band play so many songs that affect me in so many differnt ways. I can relate to just about every song that I've heard from them. They are the only band that has ever done a good Unplugged album. I just hop that they keep this up. you can tell that he puts a lot of emotion into every piece of music that he writes.

Wow. I hate emo fags like most of you. "Well, I can relate to every word in those songs" haha. Oh well. You all should go to www.emogame.com , that is the most fun site ever. Emo is ok, but alot of it is just guys trying to look tough (what's with all the tatoos Chris?) and then crying because they can't get any, then they lose the girlfriend they have. Ok, I'm done.

chris carrabba is a greasy italian. rivers cuomo is italian, but he is not greasy. there is a difference. so, i don't have anything against italians, because believe me, i f.ucking love stromboli and meatballs, just greasy ones.

by the way, im seeing beck tomorrow, and chris carrabitch is opening for him, so im forced to sit through that. oh well, i'd sit through the cold war or even the spice girls for beck.

i also live just outside of the city that chris grew up in... he grew up in coral springs, florida, and i live in weston, florida. about 10 minutes away. i was backstage at a weezer show on july 29, 2002 in atlanta, and he was there, of course, because he was one of the openers along with sparta. he's even shorter in person, and he's an arrogant a.sshole. when he plays shows down here, it's annoying because he never shuts up about how good it is to be home.

does anyone know what this D.C. song is "I'm scared I'll miss the way we use to talk
And if its all forever lost dont wanna know
I'm scared that you're the one that got away
And i want you here with me
Tonight, will never come"

>>By dc   (Thursday, 10 Jul 2003 18:55)

well i'm new to dc, infact i don't even own an album, or even any songs. i can safely say though that they (he) fucking rocks. My god. My girlfriend sent me the lyrics the other day for about 10 songs and i nearlly fell off my chair with admiration and awe for this guys skill as a writer. just... i mean its more than the ideas - its the rythm and the metaphors and his style, it is just fucking awesome. Anyway, does anyone know if there's anywhere in Australia where i can buy his albums? Thanx.

>>By irrelevantman   (Friday, 11 Jul 2003 10:24)

Dashboard Confessional is simply my favorite band of all time. I truly do not dislike one song on any of his albums. I think his lyrics are intelligent and tasteful. I am actually going to see Chris this September in Myrtle Beach. I know that he will give the same ebullient performance as I recieved from the Unplugged album. I have now gotten most of my friends into DC and they really can't believe they did not listen to him beforehand. Chris, you are an extremely gifted lyricist and performer, please make us proud with your new album. I know already that you will not displease us.

I was getting picke up by my aunt, from my friend Thomas' house, and that night I got my first kiss frm a guy that I really liked. She was listening to Hands Down. I wasnt paying attention until those godly word came out of his lips "My hopes are so high that ur kiss might kill me. So wont you kiss me? So i die happy." I was ammediately hooked. It was like he was writing about what happenedto me at the party. Since then I've been hooked on him.And i know all the girls hear me when i say "HES REALLY HOT!!." im a big fan and listen to his C.D EVERY MORNING AND EVERY NIGHT!!. I LOVE YOU CHRISTOPHER!!(D.C rocks!!)

I agree with Ali, Incubus is my all time favorite band and I love Dashboard also. You just can't go wrong with the two.

>>By Mike   (Sunday, 27 Jul 2003 00:45)

to DC: hey man I too wanna know the song that contains those lyrics, if anyone can help us, it would be greatly appreciated.

"I'm scared I'll miss the way we use to talk
And if its all forever lost dont wanna know
I'm scared that you're the one that got away
And i want you here with me
Tonight, will never come"

btw here are the lyrics to HANDS DOWN if anyone still needs it:

Breathe in for luck,
breathe in so deep,
this air is blessed,
you share with me.
This night is wild,
so calm and dull,
these hearts they race,
from self control.
Your legs are smooth,
as they graze mine,
we're doing fine,
we're doing nothing at all.

My hopes are so high,
that your kiss might kill me.
So won't you kill me,
so I die happy.
My heart is yours to fill or burst,
to break or bury,
or wear as jewelery,
which ever you prefer.

The words are hushed lets not get busted;
just lay entwined here, undiscovered.
Safe in here, from all the stupid questions.
"hey did you get some?"
Man, that is so dumb.
Stay quiet, stay near, stay close they can't hear...
so we can get some.

My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me.
So won't you kill me, so I die happy.
My heart is yours to fill or burst,
to break or bury, or wear as jewelery,
which ever you prefer.

Hands down this is the best day I can ever remember,
I'll always remember the sound of the stereo,
the dim of the soft lights,
the scent of your hair that you twirled in your fingers
and the time on the clock when we realized it's so late
and this walk that we shared together.
The streets were wet
and the gate was locked so I jumped it,
and let you in.
And you stood at the door with your hands on my waist
and you kissed me like you meant it.
And I knew that you meant it,
that you meant it,
that you meant it,
and I knew,
that you meant it,
that you meant it.

>>By punk_child_8713   (Friday, 12 Sep 2003 02:39)

the last album isn't as great as the others dc's made, but i'm getting used to the songs. they sound a little more mainstream and catchy.. i miss the straight-acoustic.. but dc's still awesome.. the lyrics still live with me..

>>By elaine   (Wednesday, 17 Sep 2003 06:58)

I love the new album. I love the lyrics...They have deeper meanings than just about everything I've ever heard before.

>>By punk_child_8713   (Wednesday, 17 Sep 2003 12:07)

Chris Carrabba is able to write the most amazing and inspiring lyrics I have ever heard. I recently saw Dashboard in concert and it was a beautiful sight. I see people write messages about how "dreamy" Carrabba is and I believe that they have completely missed the entire point of the group. They aren't there to be looked at, they are there to be listened to, which I suggest you do. Again, amazing lyrics. The Place You Have Come to Fear the Most is my favorite album.
