I love all their songs tho and people who are dissing their new cd i don't agree with you i mean you have you own oppinion but i think the new cd is a little more serious

While the first CD was great.. and had a couple songs that just blew me away (Failure By DEsign, Last Chance to Lose Your Keys, The No Seatbeal Song) I think that the new CD is by far the better of the two.
Sure it's different. That's because, as they've stated, they grown as people and as a band. The whole Deja CD (save for a song or two) is about how bad the tour for the first one messed them up. You can't be away from home and everything you love for 14 months without it taking it's toll ya'know?
Their amazing musical talent aside, I love how they trade lyrics with Taking Back Sunday. Though the drama between the two could die down a bit.

i love this cd. you can tell how much they have grown as a band. i really liked your favorite weapon so i was anxious to hear Deja Entendu. I thought Your Favorite Weapon was a great pop punk album. Songs like seventy times seven and jude law and a semester are great songs with lots of energy. But there are also songs like no seatbelt song which hint at something a little more deeper. On Deja Entendu Brand New goes deeper into that deeper sound. Every song on the cd is amazing. From the incredible lyrics of ok i believe u but my tommy gun don't to the most energetic chorus iv'e ever heard in sic transit. I don't think words can explain how good this album really is. If u don't own it buy it now.

i didnt really like the video for " the quiet things..." but i really loved the one for "Sic transit gloria". i just loved the part when the lead singer threw the table and started screaming and then the part where is hand flew up, he turned around and there was that other person and he put the finger to his throat. Those were my two fav. parts of the video!

Deja Entendu is definately one of those cd's that you can listen to over and over and never get bored with. Definately one of my best investments. If you don't own it, I highly suggest buying it. The lyrics are superbly written, and the songs are awesome.

One of the best in the "emo" genre.
Brand New mixes powerful guitar chords and subtle harmonies in songs that are fun to listen to again and again.
Similar in "feel" to Taking Back Sunday, I personally think Brand New's music sounds better. Several songs are reminiscent of stuff from blink-182.
Definately worth checking out if you've never heard them before.
Their video for Sic Transit Gloria... is really cool conceptual piece and makes a nice intro to Brand New music.

Guernica is an amazing song... so are "okay, i believe you, but my tommy gun don't" and "good to know that if i ever need attention all i have to do is die".... been listening to this band ALL DAY....... easy to draw to (i'm an art major)
