Aus Rotten is a damn good punk bad except for the shitty vocals. The lyrics are great and the music rocks i just think they should put a little bit more umph in the screaming.

no wonder punk is so lame . if one band can cause this much of an argument rather than simple postive notations of how you feel about there music , my question is how many more bands are the subject of elitist arguments? people shouldnt have to attempt to explain the ideals of a culture that in itself has no actual ideals except rejecting the social standards and mores of modern society. punk rock is a movement for social change but ones own political standpoints is not a charecterist of being "punk". if you seriously want to make some sort of effort for social change listening to music and collecting records isnt helping. educate yourself cause chances are no one will do it for you. join or start a collective , affiliate yourself with an actual organization or cause you personally beleive in. having these petty arguments over people that write music , play instruments and have enough dedication to distribute it and play shows is counter productive.if you care so much about the impression of a band on other people start your own band , get your own message board and observe the way they speak of you. its rediculious to take the majority of this message board serious. i have no idea how old it is cause i just randomly stubbled across it and felt it necassary to say something due to the fact that it is so terrible to see something intended for freindly positive remarks and opinions so engulfed in tension and frustration. although some things said were not very intelligent instead of bashing that person and making them feel they have to prove something simply suggest they educate themselves more before they make a statement they may have to back up. as far as the whole nazi arguments , the 7" is called " fuck nazi sympathy" hence , dont sympathize with nazis. they never mention them personally going out and beating up those involved in nazism. i consider nazi sympathy supporting things involved with racism and hatered, such as buying a ford or volkswagon automobile...(true they may not be affiliated directly with a facist party as of now but ford motors sold and manufactured tanks and vehiciles for the nazis during world war II). also drinking coors light beer, which is incidentally owned by a supporter of the Ku Klux Klan. i consider these examples of nazis sympathy, basically if you accept and contribute to their enterprises you are excusing or dismissing the atrocious crimes commited by them in the past. the aim of the song"fuck nazi sympathy" is to bring awareness that nazism still exists and it may not be so detectable in modern times. aus-rotten to my knowledge has never openly condoned going around in hit squads beating up nazis. in my opinion you are just as bad as them if you do this and you CAN be tried in court as commiting a hate crime if you are convicted of such an act. there are various other ways to stagnate and dissolve the facist movement with out risking getting arrested for assualt and battery (that is if you get cuaght) well i hope this clears up some of the disputes on here, hopefully some of you people will understand what im trying to express and the rest need to just grow up and stop trying to degrade others and prove there dominance of knowledge (or lack of).

By the way, anyone who labels themselves punk in some attempt to identify is all about the fashion. maybe the politics too, but definitley the fashion. Just think about that the next time you go to a show and compare punk rock battle suits.
Please grow up and realize it has never been about the music----ever. The music was a way to make light of the frustration, create entertainment and hopefully educate, if nothing else, to get it all out of your system.
If you're truely interested in politics then read some naom chomsky and form your own opions. or go on kazaa and get spoken word, him and howard zinn. educate yourself, if nothing else. please grow up. thank you.

Aus-rotten is an incredible band. They have so much great stuff to say. As for all those who think punk is just about music and clothes, and whos mohawk is tallest, then think again. Punk is a philosophy based on love and compassion, wanting to make a difference in this fucked up world. Its about caring about those who are victims of exploitation, sexism, homphobia, greed, war, oppresion etc. Those who don't understand the politics behind it and don't care need to stop calling themselves punk. No one's going to force you to believe in the ideals but i think if peopel do truly believe in it the join the movement but if not then don't kill it for the rest, Fashion punk is the reason Crass said punk is dead. All those ignorant "punks" who say they are anarchists but don't really care about freedom for people and the environment, they are just trying to be "cool". So don't call yourself's punk if you think its just about the style or the music or getting drunk and breakign rules, don't kil it for the rest of us who really want to make a difference,

anyone who believes the ideal world of total freedom can exist in their lifetime is delusional.
change happens slowly over a period of time, its a process not an event. If this change is something you truly want and are willing to work toward, then start with yourself. No one will listen to you if you are as closed minded as they are and aren't willing to listen to them. If you want people to listen to what you have to say then live by example, attraction rather than promotion. Maybe if we change ourselves as individuals, our grandchildren may have a chance. So either educate or on with the fashion show.

hey peter, i agree with that about the change thing ..i don't expect change in my lifetime. it needs to be doen through education, showing peopel what the world could be, and then slowyl making the transition. so many peopel say anarchy is too ideal but most ideas start as ideals. For instance in the 1800s free blacks in america was an ideal, but if no one dreams no progress will be made. And look how far that has come. not to say its perfect because we all know its not, well not everyone, there are peopel who believe america is completely free (ha). well thats all for now peace
