i wanna reply to a fe people. One to some guy earlier... listening to punk doesnt make you a punk, i am an example of that, i listento shitloads of diff styles of punk, but i am just adam, not a punk. And to the guy above me, you are correct about how people say shit they dont even know what it means, however, if everyone hated nazis, and werent sure why... hating nazis is a start. Remember, punks werent the first people to hate them, the victims were.

Well what is punk now anyway. There is so many "RULES" about it. Punk has become a form of control in itself. Like when people say " You're not punk if you do this, you're not punk if you do that". Well FUCK THESE GODDAMN RULES! Be your self not some trend. You can call yourself a punk now but sooner or later your gonna grow up.

First of all, Aus rotten is great. Its great to know there is once again great music for all us polically concerned folks. :-) Also, to just about everyone who posted before me, WHO GIVES A RATS ASS WHETHER YOU AND OTHER PEOPLE THINK YOU ARE PUNK OR NOT?? I am not critizing or trying to tell you what to think, but I think that kids should stop being so god damned concerned whether they fit today's standards of being "punk" and just be theirselves. Punk started with individuals trying to break out of the mold and be themselves. What it turned into is just another form of conformity. We critize the Nazis, jocks, preps, whatever when punk formed because people didnt want to be judged. We judge them, just as much. So, my advice to you is to not be so concerned with being "punk" and thinking punk and saying punk things, and be yourself. DON'T CONFORM!

also as far as aus-rotten goes they fucking rock. but i didn't need to listen to their music or any other band's music, because i already believed in all the shit that they believe in. i didn't choose to listen to punk to be different, i chose to listen to punk because it is who and what i am. the message that bands like aus-rotten put out through their music is what i'm all about.

wow, this is realy sad. all this infighting and bullshit is fucking up what "punk" should be. Since you all seem to be wrapped up in clothing and nazis, i'll will spell out for you what punk rock is. Punk rock is doing your part to support the government as little as possible, it's causing a disturbance, it's pissing in the drinks at the policemans ball, its going to small shows and supporting the kids who make music because they love music. Most of all, it's supporting those who share the same dream of a slightly less fucked up world, be they punk, prep, stoner, hippie, who cares. As far as Nazis, they are idiots, all of them. As I see it, Naziism is no different than a religion. It's brainwashing, teaching a bunch of ignorant rednecks to hate a carefully selected scapegoat. As far as me, I CAN relate to Aus Rotten's lyrics. The guys from Aus Rotten don't live on the Gaza Strip, or Cambodia, or Somalia. They don't experience these atrocities firsthand, but they are frustrated. Just as I am. You are one sick fuck if you see a photo of an infant who fell victim of a gas attack, and has emptied the contents of it's body onto the ground, and arent angered, frustrated, PISSED. The things that the higher powers do to other people are disgusting, and need to be stopped. But no one will stop it if they dont know about it, and thats where bands like Aus Rotten come in. Also, its very hard to make a difference alone, thats why the punk rock "scene" (ha) should be utilized to make a real change. If you need it spelled out, look up info on the Crass Collective. Change is not an impossibility.
