Yelworc

yelworC has a definitive ploy of elite abrasion and deconstruction in Industrial music. The oblique lyrics and synthesis contained in their music has attracted me so fiercely that their CD (unfortunately burned from the 'net) has barely left my player. This is due to the fact that I have a difficult time finding any of their releases; that they appear to be obsolete and deleted from the music store shelves here in Canada -- and perhaps worldwide.
I would support them in a heartbeat if they re-released their old material and came out with a new album. It appears that they have been busy doing something to this effect, according to their website: http://www.yelworc.de, with a short music sample "Triune Junction" from a possible album titled, "Trinity". It sounds like new material, but I have yet to receive a response from an email I sent with a query regarding any information to further this discussion..

I've been a listener of yelworC for almost 7 years now, if you're looking for similiar stuff, try Grendel and Sleepwalk. There's actually alot of bands out there that have that sadistic distorted vocal sound with good EBM quality music to support it. If you want any suggestions feel free to email me at <nephilim@tds.net>.

No one does it like yelworC. They were influential and unique, although many complained that bands with a dark electronic sound during the early 90's were 'Skinny Puppy ripoffs.' I used to own the 'Blood In Face' EP as well as 'Brainstorming', but those CD's were destroyed. I, too, have downloaded whatever I could find through various filesharing programs, but certain songs that I really cherish elude me. I also visited the band's site @ http://www.yelworc.de, and the thought of Peter Devin and Dominik Van Reich releasing new material together is extremely exciting. The question 'What are Peter Devin and Dominik Van Reich doing now?' appeared in many an industrial and/or gothic music newsgroup or forum for the last several years; hopefully, the two-minute piece of the song 'Triune Junction' is part of our answer.

there's something inherently appealing to me about the sound of late 80's to mid 90's industrial music. yelworC certainly is one of the few bands whose creations still send shivers down my spine (even though thet haven't put mush out in a while, and the new album has been delayed) much like the early works of skinny puppy, front 242 or frontline assembly. for this reason alone, i will continue to hold their work in the highest esteem -even if the sound-style chages and evolves into something different- just like the aformentioned pioneers above.

Yes, no one is quite like yelworc. However the off shoot band amGod is quite descent too. It is a pity that there are so few releases by these two guys. Luckily for me, I was able to track down most of their releases, blood in face, brain storming, collection, and half rotten and decayed (amgod) before celtic circle went under. It is rumour that yelworC will be releasing a new track on a comp called "proven in action" however this is still a rumor...we can hope. Cheers and its good to see some people giving this band the attention they deserve.

I also own all the old Celtic Circle releases so I can provide those in need with what they want - when it comes to experiencing the sonic world of yelworC... :)
