It might be more appropriate to say that Weezer sounds like the Violent Femmes...

I bought my first album, hallowed ground , the record when i was 13 years old and to this day i cannot fuck with this band!

Just bought their first record (actually my grlfrnd finally did) and it is a great album.. mostly when you think of the time when they made it, when everyone was going new wave and more and more electronic, they just stepped of every electronics and went totally Country rock.. great music, great important pioneers in pop music..

Euhm, they sound like weezer... and I think Mudhoney stole their sound from Nirvana?

A couple of years ago I was on a ferry from Calais to Dover, there was a guy who looked like Gordon Gano walking down one of the alley ways -I was with a friend at the time and he walked up to this guy tapped him on the shoulder and asked, "Tell me, how's your lovely daughter?". The guy gave a grin, and a wink -"She's doing fine", he said. "She's doing fine", and walked off. Made my day.

Where can I find the words to Violent Fems music? I just heard a song on the radio and want to get all the words to it.

>>By sptinri   (Thursday, 25 Mar 2004 19:11)

I don't even understand why people waste words on other bands.

These guys don't get enough credit - if any - for the whole "Americana" sound that's so popular today.
Their 1st 2 records are a must.
