Just bought their first record (actually my grlfrnd finally did) and it is a great album.. mostly when you think of the time when they made it, when everyone was going new wave and more and more electronic, they just stepped of every electronics and went totally Country rock.. great music, great important pioneers in pop music..

A couple of years ago I was on a ferry from Calais to Dover, there was a guy who looked like Gordon Gano walking down one of the alley ways -I was with a friend at the time and he walked up to this guy tapped him on the shoulder and asked, "Tell me, how's your lovely daughter?". The guy gave a grin, and a wink -"She's doing fine", he said. "She's doing fine", and walked off. Made my day.

These guys don't get enough credit - if any - for the whole "Americana" sound that's so popular today.
