Someone asked earlier about Type O Negatives 'old stuff'. You may want to look into Petes band CARNIVORE.
Old 80s stuff that I grew up with. Been a fan for almost 20 years now.

not to sure what to think about these dudes anymore.october rust was/is a very intense,dark,moody and maturely melodic album.i was dissapointed with the new album/video("don't want to be me").the brothas are getting a little older.i was never to sure if these dudes were a serious band or humourus band.every interview seemed to be about how they were going to quit after every album(an unsuccessful market plan perhaps).anyway whatever the case...october rust is a wicked album with catchy dark riffs,great grooves,(not to mention great atmosphiric pics in booklet)and thanks to that i am now in a band that makes millions...so thanks type o!

im in the same band as the loser above(not telling).we have toured with type o negitive twice(plus im the only guy from my camp that was fortunate to hang out with them).the first time was during the world coming down tour 99' and all i have to say is this...they ARE the funniest mother fuckas.to all those peeps that think that they are dark and scary...these are the same dudes that drink hot souce and pepto ,dress in chicken suits before some shows(they made me try it too;fuckers).pete is a nature lover and kenny loves baseball.so peeps should keep supporting 'cause there are good musicians and awsome dudes.october rust rules espeacially "burnt flowers fallen"and "wolf moon"(sounds so heavy live!!!).keep enjoying TON.ps everyone should check out these two 'up and coming' bands we just toured with:sworn enemy(www.swornenemy.com) and Passado(www.passadoband.com) both bands are intense,heavy and evil.keep it real ,see you peeps on tour! greg

O. K. first I wanna say I'm new to this so have patience. Type O's kick ass! I've only known of them for about two years though. For the longest time I thought October Rust was thier first cd, but now I know they had three others before. I still don't have the verry first two or the vid After Dark. I'm a big Peter Steele fan (what a shock, huh) but to be fair, their all cute. I've never heard any of Carnivore's stuff. I've also never had the pleasure of seeing Type O in concert. The new cd is a little different then their stuff before but still excilent! I actually cried when I heard track 9 (I think it was 9) the one about Peter's mom, but I also lost my cat two days before I heard it. My mother in law, of all people gave the cd to me as a sypathy gift. That was weird, but cool. Well, that's all that's on my mynd for now, 'till the next rambling. Hve fun, be safe and stay negative!

Afterthought! O.K. question actually. Does anyone have a clue what or who Red Hook refers to? Peter uses it a few times in his lyrics. Just wondering.

Red Hook is a City in Brooklyn New York, Peter is from Brookllyn (Like Me) so that is probably what he means :)

What I wrote about the lead singer of Type O, is VERBATIM what he said. He'll take gay people's MONEY, but says they "iritate him" and feels he MUST add, "I'm fucking straight." DEAL with it. He said it, and I took issue with it. I am not the only one by the way. And about telling me to "go march in a parade," I say plain and simply, FUCK YOU. Devine is my real last name by the way, Anubitch. "Random Fan" had an INTELLIGENT response. While I don't agree with what he concluded, he at least has a functional brain, and is not some fucking okie kid with a smart mouth.
