Tower Of Power

I am looking for any DVD that features Tower of Power. Is there such a thing out there?

Haven't seen any DVD's ... or VHS tapes for that matter; However, Rocco's bass instruction tape has some cool live (although incomplete) clips. It's called "fingerstyle funk with Francis Rocco Prestia".

There's a DVD in the stores right now, but it's taken from a German TV show from a few years back and doesn't feature the current line up.

There's supposed to be a 'new line up' DVD coming out next year... (Not holding your breath are you?)

Deke.

I have the German show. Frankly, it really stinks. I have been a TOP fan since the beginning, and for the life of me, I can't understand why they would have released this low quality DVD.

I've seen them, like most fans, dozens of times and I remember this line up from a show in Rochester NY I saw. I didn't like that show either. But, if you're like most fans, you'll buy everything they do just to support them...I do.

All I can say is that I am waiting for the new DVD they are getting ready to cut with the lastest line-up...which I think is the greatest line-up ever. The band is awesome.

If you want to understand the evolution of the group and why some of the palyers were replaced, this is the disk to get! Carter is lackluster at best, vocal harmonies are weak...the groove seems cluttered rather than alive and clean....but htat could be a function of the low quality recording.

I am sure the new DVD will be a real giant of a performance, and if ou really love TOP, this line up needs to be stored in your DVD collection. I hope they are able to keep this line-up....tight stuff.
