Tori has got to be one of THE coolest musicians out there! She has invented her own type of music and I think she is an amazing singer. Definately get some of her stuff!

I am in love with the sounds of Tori. I have enjoyed her music since I was eleven years old. I had a hard childhood so her music always helped me let out my feelings and emotions. I am the person I am today because of her words. What pulled me into her music at eleven? That would be a long story if told in full! I'll keep it short. An interesting CD cover caught my eye. (Little Earthquakes) I had to have it! So I recorded it on to a tape and fell in love. My mom always thaught I was weird. (but she listened to Dianna Kraul..EWW.) After I learned how to comprehend music, I realised that "Precious Things" was me. I have never related to a song like that in my life. Even to this day. I made a fool out of myself every day, until I moved, over a boy named "Billy". When I listen to her music I get chills down my spine. I always had the fantacy of being able to sing with her. I would probably flunk that too.:) If someone asked me "If you had one thing to say to Tori what would it be?", I would ramble on for hours. I do have to say that her music has changed a little since the older, but that is cool. You go girl!

I as well as everyone here.....I think Tori is amazing beyond anything out there. I have been a Tori fan since a young age and playing the piano was even a closer connection I had with her. Like a lot of people describe, Tori's music crawls under my skin and touches something inside me. I'd have to say seeing her live was the most "precious thing" and I can never get enough. You Go Tori with your bad self!!!!!!

I saw her perform live in Brussels last year, and it was at once an experience and a disappointment. There is very litle contact with the audience, she just does her thing, wrapped up in her own musical world. But on the other hand there are songs that can make time stand still. Don't put her on a big open stage, she's too intimate for that, or rather her music is. But give her a medium-sized concert hall and there's magic being performed. She can play and sing for hours without losing gusto or sounding strained. True craftsmanship!

Tori has changed my perception of music. I now have a much higher standard of what I listen to. Her lyrics contain so much raw emotion that you either want to get up dance and sing along or weep. Precious Things is perhaps one of my Tori songs, it really depends on what type of day I'm having, but today it's definitely Precious Things...

Wow no one has posted here for nearly a year, that's not fair.
I just watched a two hour concert on dvd. On one song she played two pianos at once.
I'm just now getting into Tori Amos mainly because she wrote the introduction to a graphic novel by my favourite author, and her music is like nothing I've ever heard, cliched as that sounds, it's true here. She's one of those artists who might be from another plane of existence or something, she is that strange and wonderous. I'm gonna buy all her albums now, one by one.
