The Raveonettes

Forum

Did anyone see the Raveonettes recent tour? I saw them in Vancouver. They were great! I think they're usually a 4 piece but they had a 5 member playing live...it was volume and melodic.

Haven't seen them yet, but I'm a big fan. Went to see several Psyched Up Janis concerts when they existed. That's Sune Wagner's former band incase you didn't know. They made some awesome records too. I got them signed a few years back (1998?) at a concert when very few people were listening to them. That was neat :-) Have a fun day.

How do you like the new disc "Pretty In Black"? At first listen I found Chain Gang of Love better but maybe that's because they played more songs from that record in concert. If I was interested in listening to one Psyched Up Janis record which one would you suggest?

Psyched up had their breakthrough with the album called "beats me" which has a lot of great songs on it. "The stars are out" was their first hit off that album, but I enjoy the album as a whole. If you plan on searching for the albums yourself, they are named as follows: "Swell", "Beats Me" and "Enter the super peppermint lounge" in that specific order. Personally, I prefer beats me, but the other albums are just as great.
About pretty in black, I've been out of the country for a while lately so I haven't gotten a chance to pick it up yet. I'm going to buy it tomorrow. Can't force myself into downloading their music when I know I'm going to buy it eventually. I checked out the rolling stone online to see the review of pretty in black. Check it out for yourself here:

Sounds good to me.

I bought 'Whip It On' a week ago.

They are the coolest of the cool.
