if you noticed theres 2 oi scouts but my question is on the ska page theres people wearing mtv with a crossed sign on it with song boots for the beat down so why would they do that its so fucked up it annoys the shit out of me ska band with the name oi scouts and when on a search engin when im looking for the street punk band ska shows up damn them to hell lol im out just confusing

well enough about there being two oi scouts and the oi one being awesome. someone said 'i bet you don't know what they sing about' or something. does anyone know? are there lyrics anywhere? cos from what i understand of the lyrics, it sounds to be good stuff but their record label squigtone has all this american pride stuff and then on their song "bleeding hearts" it sounds like their saying stuff about 'the american way' and i absolutely hate that shit so now i'm confused. anyone?

Oi!'s roots go back to ska and so do skinhead roots. I dont think the Oi! scouts are Oi!. i think they are just really good street punk. And the Oi! Scouts (streetpunk) arent racist. They covered victims by the oppressed. thats an anti racist song by a very anti racist band.that wouldnt make sense at all. And what abvout nuke the nazis? you think thats a racist song?i dont at all. why does the unseen suck?

R-2, if you were talking to me about the racist stuff, i didn't think they were racist. It's just it sounds like they're saying stuff about "the american way" on the song bleeding hearts. Now nuke the nazis and the like could still fit in with a band that was all american pride. It's just that it's so damn hard to understand what they're saying sometimes! OK this is my question: are they saying pro-anarchist stuff on anarchy people or are they saying pro-american stuff on bleeding hearts? Or neither?

I just listened to Bleeding Hearts, great song, but I am almost postive they're saying "American way," but who exactly knows what they're singing of? They could be being sarcastic or saying the American way is something to not be proud of. I assume that's what it's about because of the name Bleeding Hearts, like, their hearts are in pain due to some of the things America does.

I don't think anyone does, heh, I've looked for their lyrics for a LONG time and can't find anything, and they're quite hard to understand.

Bob, I actually believe that they only have 12 songs and 2 covers, and I have them all on KaZaA. I have Anarchy People, Another Battle, Bleeding Hearts, Boots For The Beatdown, Computers, MTV, Nuke The Nazis, Oi! Punx, Police Harassment, Revolution, Thugs and War Is Sick. I also have two covers, Fight To Live and Victims.
I assume that's all they've done... does anyone have a song that I didn't mention? Also, their CD is out of print, Squigtone (I think that's the company's name) should put it out again, it's obvious that a lot of people would buy it, and the music's amazing.

WHat is this whole deal about nuke the nazis above? that song was to fee people it is not just to nuke some bums in another part of the world. anyways the cd is out of print and unavailable to all stores. your best bet would be to hunt down one of the original oi scouts members and asking them to send you one. otherwise if you got it at some underground punk store if you got it orderd there it would be alot of money even though its worth it but good luck ever finding it. if you ask anyone about oi scouts they either have idea who your talking about or they think of the fucking ska band. another way you could get the cd is to just burn one copy for yourself off the internet off the songs on kazaa. well class is ending so i better go. i hate guttermouth cause they use thugs song and turned it into something stupid and that is disrespectful oh well peace out Oi punk for life.

The Oi! Scouts are really my favorite punk band. I got a lot of their songs off of Kazaa Lite. Some of the band members joined other bands such as the bands Squiggy, The Outsiders, and Shady View Terrace. I don't have a favorite song because they all rock. The songs I have are THUGS, VICTIMS, OI! You people the lyrics are not availible anywhere because the music was never popular enough to be recongnised enough then so no one cared to find them out..cause the lyrics are bloody impossible to understand in almost every song..plus the cd is out of print with very few copys in circulation therefore its unlikely anyone would be able to accomplish the solving what the hell they are saying..there are no websites that have guitar tabs, lyrics, or things like that really anywhere..and whats the deal with every other persons post on here saying the same things "oi scouts kick ass" we know that we dont need every person saying it its gets pretty old and anoying to read the same thing over and over..this should be a website dedicating to bringing back the oi scouts spirit not just one for people to say something thats obvious and pointless.

Hey it seems you are all interested in the Oi! Scouts, The NJ one anyway. I run Squigtone Records the company that originally released the Oi! Scouts CD. I have good news for you all, the CD is getting re-released and since the songs are all over the internet we are gonna re-release it with bonus/un-released material. Also in the works is a CD containing all the recordings the band did when they got back together in 2000 (their best material to date). I'm in the process of rebuilding the site but keep checking http://www.squigtone.com for info.

I think its obvious that lots of people are way into th oi scouts, including me. it just really sux that they broke up so long ago. i just heard about them the other day. i think we should all send em some kind of petition or some shit to make them aware of how many fans they now have, maybe make a shitty effort at trying to get them to reunite. that would kick ass. i dont understand why they broke up, they were making some of the greatest punk music ive ever heard...

Yeah the oi scouts were a fun band. I am actually currently in a band with bernard the old singer that is just getting started called Combat Stance. Our website should be up soon and for those who are intrested and we got a couple shows at the start of 2004.
