So i here that the gufs will not be at summerfest this year, i hope you all arnt as heart broken as i am. i looked forward to that show every year. i heard this and almost cryed, i got a rutine goin with them , and now its broken.

Does anyone know where I can get guitar tab for Last Goodbye???? It seems impossible to find any of their songs on the internet. Any help would be much appreciated.

Last goodbye can be found here, but I'm not sure which version that tony tabbed of it, but it also lists his e-mail address so drop him a line with any further questions you may have. Hope this helps...otherwise check out http://goran.kicks-ass.org for all the lastest gufs info.

actually, it must be a mixture of diferent bands, candy, the cd is called "songs from an eastside attick, " and the gufs recorded three or four songs on it.

It was only Goran (not the gufs) that played and was a part of the songs on that cd, "songs from an eastside attic." As far as I can tell...NO new gufs cd's on the horizon.

Hey Chuck,
I see what you meant...I just wanted to make sure that false rumors aren't started in regards to new material coming out, since Goran has started the solo thing with Dejan and two other people and is searching for a name for that project. So yes, your right although I think you transposed what you were saying a bit since I think you meant when ever you refer to the gufs, just to consider it to be Goran or something like that. Either way the gufs aren't playing summerfest this year as far as I can tell and haven't had nor plan a new cd anytime soon. From the sounds of it they have moved on with their non musical lives for now pursuing work in what their degrees were meant for.

My brother just told me about the gufs. I actually knew Goran when he was just a little weenie teenie bopper. I dug up a tape (yes, a cassette tape) of when he first started out in the early 80's. I think he was about 15 or 16. I popped it in, and it was awesome. This was in the days when he lived in Munster, Indiana and hung out with the Serbs. I'm glad he's still at it!

yeah your right, i know they have degreed in the dental and medical fields, kinda like their father, Mladen Do you know him? I could tell you all about him. I know that i am related to the kralj's, and i know the whole family. and everything. havent seen them in years or anything, and only talk to Goran on a very irregular basis. I guess you could say that am not related to Goran and Dejan anymore, becaues I was adopted into another family at the age of three. Goran actually did take it upon himself to keep tabs on me over the years. I used to go to summerfest to see the gufs all the time. every year i was there. i am going to miss that this year.

Summerfest used a artist on the final schedule of events book that looked very much like Goran. Kind of ironic. In a sad way.
Summerfest could have used a good band like the gufs to partially make up for the very weak schedule on the free grounds stages this year.
I usually take the week off for vacation and spend it all in Milwaukee at summerfest.
Not this year though, as without Gufs, it is not Summerfest. Oh well I saved hundreds of dollars by summerfest snubbing the Gufs. Summerfest keeps this up I may be working next year instead of vacationing in Milwaukee at Summerfest.

Press Release: The Gufs at Summerfest 2003
Due to the overabundance of misinformation, we want to set the record
straight regarding Summerfest and the status of the band.
First and foremost: We have not broken up. Despite our lack of performing
and recording, we are still together as a band, just not actively working.
Second: After ten years of playing Summerfest, for reasons beyond our
control, festival management was unable to extend an acceptable invitation
to us this year. While being previously informed of our availability,
Summerfest chose to offer us one option, which directly conflicted with a
charity event we are all involved with. As a result, no other dates were
made available to us or even offered to correct the situation.
Upon hearing the news, we were collectively disappointed at their decision
not to include us in this years line up. Just as it has become a tradition
for many of you to see us each year at Summerfest, it has also been a
tradition for us to perform in our hometown for our fans. We are saddened
that we will not be there to play for you this year.
Finally: We have decided to let you know that we will be performing and
recording a live album here in Milwaukee this fall. We feel that after
fifteen years together a live record documenting our music would mean a lot
to all of our fans.

thats funny...by the way, welcome to the family. Unfortunately I test my cousin's b/f's to see if they are worthy of her...When I go to Waukesha on her and my birthday next year I expect to meet you. Then I will see for sure if you are worthy of her...untill then have a nice life. (oh and if u really think I would hunt you down all you have to do is ask Lisa.
