>>By idontknowdotcom23   (Monday, 16 Aug 2004 13:26)

For any cure fan who doesn't have the trilogy DVD, I can just say : get it
the 3 albums are some of my favs and they are preformed great by the lads.
Pornography freaking floored me. I wish I lived in berlin to see that show.

Faith is probably my favorite album of them in their early 80s gloom phase.

the new CD.. is not to my liking as much as their old stuff.

>>By Plastic Passion   (Tuesday, 12 Oct 2004 23:30)

yeah i'm not sure i like the new stuff as much as i love the old stuff....anybody seen that cure tribute thing? i saw a clip of it somewhere of AFI covering just like heaven.....sooo beauutiifufuull i almost cried

>>By spikee   (Wednesday, 20 Oct 2004 04:58)

Just two pages?!?!

This is a shame...

I've been listening to some tracks of their new album, and it really sounds great, I haven't had the chance (or the money) to buy it, but I will.

>>By CHARLOS   (Sunday, 28 Nov 2004 00:40)

well lets try and make it alot more than 3 pages then shall we?

>>By mebaroo   (Monday, 29 Nov 2004 18:26)

"i'm running out of time i'm out of step and
closing down and never sleep for wanting hours
the empty hours of greed and uselessly always
the need to feel again the real belief of
something more than mockery if only i could
fill my heart with love"

I've been listening to Disintegration on an endless loop...still as fresh

only two pages on The Cure?????????
i'm 20 years old, i've been listening to the cure for as long as i can remember my mum and dad are huge fans, my dad has all their old LP's and me and mum have every album on CD. the cure were my parents favourite band when they were my age and now their one of my favourites. That to me, is amazing. they have transcended their own era to go on and touch a whole new generation.
The Cure Rock.

>>By MOTU_KOAB   (Monday, 6 Dec 2004 01:19)

the cure is awesome i love them, i have that there probably my favorite band. i think robert smith has so much talent! and he does have cool hair lol. he's a great guitar player and a wonderful song writer. i was kind of upset when i heard some of there new songs, dont get me wrong there okay, but robert could have done way better in song writing, but he cant help his voice changing, although that would be nice...the cure is awesome!! i cant wait to see them!

I've been listening to The Cure for 20 years. I love "M", Boys Don't Cry, Charlotte Sometimes, etc. etc. Most of the vinyl I have is The Cure. I haven't been to a Cure concert since the 80's, but my son's dad and I listened to them, and, well....... my son's 13 now...... See what they can inspire? :) It seems The Cure brought us together back then, and, well, did I mention what may have been playing when my son was conceived? ;) This is where it comes full circle because my son made me a CD with The Cure on it :) He's the BEST!!!! Oh-one year my friend was Robert Smith for Halloween :) I miss ya Matt!

Today I bought the expanded and remastered version of the 'Three Imaginary Boys' album, it's got an extra disc with 20 tracks, including some early demos, live performances and raw studio versions of some songs, as well as six previously unreleased tracks, all of which are from 1977-1979.

It was worth the $20 dollars that I paid for it, and even more...

A trully awesome piece of art.

hmm i was getting ready to buy join the dots and this dude came up n got it...it was the only 1 there too

>>By RaNcId_StAr   (Saturday, 8 Jan 2005 21:39)

them biotches need 2 come out with a new cd! rar there awsome

>>By RaNcId_StAr   (Monday, 21 Mar 2005 22:24)

Allthough i was very much of a punk -and wavefan as a teenager i refused to listen to the Cure back then. I hated everything that was too popular, so i also didn't want no Cure in my collection.......... some
prejudice huh? Now i know better. At least i've been to a concert of them in '92. It wasn't quite what i expected. But i must say that they were awesome. Great band, definitely.

>>By SimonSpagJet   (Monday, 6 Feb 2006 11:44)

The cure is amazing. Robert is spectacular! Fav album has to be Faith. Has anyone heard the side project "The Glove"? if you havent, you should. its amazing.

Instead of putting in something like: "The Cure rock!" or "I love the Cure!", "My favorite song is...", "Robert Smith smeared lipstick on my bum!" ... can I ask a straightforward question to Cure fans? Would it be safe to say that most... most, not all, of the Cure songs are incredibly depressing? Not saying that they aren't good, or great (as some of you think), but comon. Don't you think that listening to SO much depressing music might take it's toll on your pocketbooks... with the buying of all the black eyeshadow, black lipstick, black toothpaste... ect. So really, take The Cure in small doses, and try not to listen to 3 albums in a row. Take a little break every once and a while and listen to something... well.. uplifting, such as: Mogwai, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, or perhaps The Black Heart Procession. Cheers.

PS: And remember kids, it's never to late to get up aaand go.

At some point you are right. But i believe it's about the way of listening to music. Allthough i love music, music is just music to me. By this way of listening to the Cure for example then to me it's like a trip through pain, grieve, sadness, but also the friendly relief of shedding a tear,
as a viewer. Like watching a sad movie. But to admit in depressing times music like the Cure can be very much of an impact on yer own emotional situation. Yet like i said: it is a way of interpretation. I know Goths who are just very serious and concious on the way they live and look at the world. Nevertheless it's always o.k. to have people around with a positive kind o' attitude like you have ! Cheers to you too !

The Cure was a huge musical influence on me when I was younger, but I was a bit disappointed when they started to show politics in their music.

However, I still love their earlier music and will always be a fan.

Just leave the political views out of the songs, Robert, and give us another dreary album soon!

I'm in love with Robert Smith XD

I love you more than I can say
Why don't you just believe?

ashlee simpson. blech. i'm dissapointed in robert.

>>By RaNcId_StAr   (Tuesday, 1 May 2007 04:59)

There's a consistency of saying things three times, show me show me show me, kiss me kiss me kiss me, flicka flicka flicka, so on. It's cute to find. And lovely sound effects kitty cat meows and yawns. Depressing lyrics, I was surprised to find he has been married to his childhood sweetheart since '88. Always beautiful. Robert has some amusing quotes as well.
