I like South i'm sure, they were in the New Music zine a couple months ago.

South's "With the Tides" is a remarkaby solid energized contribution to brit-pop. I would offer that South is what Radiohead would sound like if RH had any hard rock hormones still pumping. Colours in Waves KICKS IT OUT. But even still the South sound is more in the vein of Doves, Travis, and ColdPlay. And like the modern brit-poppers do so well, South has some beautifully harmonized ethereal but strongly melodic singer song-writer stuff that is very listenable... and singable. Check them out. And the Leaves is another BP band that is worth a listen. Have fun.
