On Jan. 1st of 2001, I saw Dj Soul Slinger @ a club in Santa Fe, New Mexico called The Paramount. It was my third, and so far, last time I've had the pleasure of hearing and seeing him. It was a wonderful night and all, and I had a blast listening to the God himself, tear shit up, that is, until my pipe "karma" got stolen. It was an inside out pyrex pipe that my best friend and boyfriend had both designed and had blown by a local pipe blower. I look back now and ask myself, "what the hell was I doing smoking dank inside of a club?" But then I'll look at the fact that I'd probably do it all over again given the chance. Loosing the pipe was no big deal, in fact, after the show I got Carlos to sign a poster of him from the cover of his United Dj's of America cd. The poster itself, was given to me by a guy working @ a record store in Denver, Colorado called Soulflower. He just gave it to me right off the wall after I admired it so much for the fact that it had the dj that inspired me to spin the oh so wonderful sounds, of drum and bass.

Sou musico, toco baixo eletrico e computer music. A ultima vez que vi Carlinhos Slinger foi em sua casa em Sao Paulo, Brasil, ha mais de dez anos. Era uma festa de aniversario e conversamos muito sobre a historia da musica eletronica com suas raizes etnicas. Lembro da presença das estilistas Claudia, então companheira de Carlinhos, minha querida Ligia Guimaraes e da amiga Mari. Sinto saudades de todos. Abracos.

I heard soul slinger at xcaliber 5/16/03 . it was the first time i've been to see live dj's spin. it was the coolest shit i've ever heard. i'm addicted-gotta have some more!!!!!

April 4th of 2000, was the date. St. louis was the location, Soul Slinger & T.C. Islum Blow the fuck up. I mean It was the best set i've eva seen. As far as jungle goes, for many years past and many years to come, Soul Slinger will own all others.

I had the delight of seeing this not only LEGENDARY but influential drum&bass artist on 6/13 in steamy south Florida.
To say the least this guy knows his SHIT!
